This modpack maximizes possible FPS with currently availble optimization mods.
FPS Comparison:
| API | Vanilla | Remarkably Optimized | Graphica |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vulkan | 359 FPS | 500 FPS (OLD) | 503 FPS |
| OpenGL | 363 FPS | 421 FPS (OLD) | 437 FPS |
| RAM Usage Vulkan | 16% / 4096MB | 31% / 4096MB | 27% / 4096MB |
| RAM Usage OpenGL | 21% / 4096MB | 29% / 4096MB | 18% / 4096MB |
| Additional | Fast Better Grass | Fast Better Grass | Fast Better Grass |
Map used: GamerPotion's FPS Test
| API | Vanilla | Remarkably Optimized | Graphica |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vulkan | NA FPS | 410 FPS (OLD) | 410 FPS |
| OpenGL | NA FPS | 304 FPS (OLD) | 308 FPS |
| RAM Usage Vulkan | NA% / 4096MB | 16% / 4096MB | 15% / 4096MB |
| RAM Usage OpenGL | NA% / 4096MB | 16% / 4096MB | 14% / 4096MB |
| Additional | Fast Better Grass | Fast Better Grass | Fast Better Grass |
Map used: Custom Map (Entity Cramming, leaves, etc.)
Note: RAM usage fluctuates highly, so it cannot be measured easily. Expect real RAM usage grounded around 20-23%, yet still, optimizations I have done in mods configurations reduce and improve RAM handling.
Modpack will be updated regulary to the latest versions of mods.
Currently (0.0.7U), modpack able to surpass Remarkably Optimized decisively when using OpenGL API, keeping more FPS and Framerate stability. When using Vulkan API, leap decrease significantly, yet Graphica still wins due to better stability of Framerate (New Remarkably Optimized doesn't support Vulkan API. New Remarkably Optimized would be worse than old one due to in new version appears mods that aren't compatible with Vulkan API).
ULMU (Ultra Low Memory Usage) version reduced RAM usage by the game by ~15-20%, letting game run comfortably even on low-end hardware with 4-6GB of total RAM.
CRITICAL NOTE: ALL VERSIONS PAST 0.0.5ULMU ARE USING SAME OPTIMIZATIONS, I DIDN'T INCLUDED ULMU IN THEIR NAMES TO NOT MAKE THEM TOO LONG
All options/configs are pre-made. To add mods requiring OpenGL, go to settings and change Prefered API to OpenGL from Vulkan. Resourcepacks in collection increase average FPS by 3-10%, recommended to use all resourcepacks except Better Faster Textures (I'll be honest their textures are not vanilla-style).
Honest issues
- Chunk Generation issue recently fixed.
- Right hand can sometimes disappear when playing multiplayer (will be fixed in 0.0.7 or 0.0.8). Fixed
Planning
- Compare Graphica to other modpacks & in different situations.
- Create YouTube channel.
- Test Graphica on old laptop (6GB RAM, Intel Core I5-7200U).
Notes
- Do NOT add external performance mods. You will just turn game bloated. It will hurt FPS in 99% situations and cause higher instability.
- Set max framerate to number of hertz of your monitor, unless doing competitive gaming. This saves power consumption and prevents freezing.
PC specs
Intel Core Ultra 7 265K; Intel Graphics (Arrow Lake Integrated GPU); 32GB RAM 6800 MHz 36CL; NVMe 4.0.
Goal
-
My personal goal for this project is to create trustful optimization modpack that will let anyone, from people with 2015 laptops, to people with 2026 PC, play Minecraft using comfortable settings, letting anyone having at least 60 FPS while playing.
-
Nutshell: Optimize game for any hardware, reduce power consumption, build people's modpack for everyone to use.
-
My modpack is made entirely on motivation, I'm not following goal to turn rich, I wish for slight popularity. My rule #1 is no lying, if I lie at least once, whole my goal is ruined, what lying I can do is increase my modpack FPS by 1-2 at max, or accidentally tell wrong FPS/RAM (if I notice that - it will be fixed immediately), if any modpack surpasses me - I won't lie that my modpack FPS increased, I will actually try to return my rank legitimate, by modifying mod list and configurations. Lie is a sin, which I will never perform when talking about the modpack.
