Assorted Wands

Wands that build, break and mine a whole area at once. Click one corner, click the opposite corner and the wand does the rest. Put up the walls of a house in two clicks, clear out a hill, or take all the stone from around the ores.

How it works

• Right click a block to pick the first corner, then right click the opposite corner.
• Each wand has a few modes. Press Z to switch modes and the wand's tooltip shows the mode it's in. The key is under Assorted Mods in Controls.
• The wand tells you when the area is too big, when the corners don't match, or when you don't have enough blocks. Nothing happens until it can do the whole job.
• Every job uses up one of the wand's uses.

The wands

• The Building Wand builds with the block you clicked, using the blocks in your inventory. It can fill a box, build a hollow room, build just the frame, or put torches 5 blocks apart across an area.
• The Breaking Wand breaks everything in the area and drops nothing. Break Weak only takes grass, flowers and other soft blocks, and Leave Ores breaks everything except the ores.

• The Mining Wand mines the area and drops the blocks. It can mine everything, just dirt, sand, gravel and plants, or just logs and leaves, up to 512 blocks at a time.

Reinforced wands

Reinforced wands last a lot longer. The building and mining ones get extra modes too.

• The Reinforced Building Wand can flood an area with water for two water buckets, fill it with lava for a lava bucket per block, or fill the caves under an area with stone.
• The Reinforced Mining Wand can surface mine, pulling out the ores under an area. It mines up to 1024 blocks at a time.

Config

These are in the assortedwands-common config file. Changes need a restart.

• wands.freeBuildMode lets the building wands build without using up any blocks, and no wand wears out. Off by default.
• wands.bedrockBreaking lets the breaking and mining wands break bedrock. Off by default.
• wands.easyMiningObsidian lets the mining wands mine obsidian. Off by default.

Updating from Assorted Tools 11.x

Worlds made with Assorted Tools 11.x keep everything when you switch to this mod. Don't install it beside Assorted Tools 11.x.

• NeoForge, or Fabric Loader with Fabric API

Wands also comes in Assorted Tools with the other Tools mods, if you'd rather have them all in one download.
