A new sky that works in plain vanilla:

  • Sun: a round disc with a warm corona and soft rays instead of a square
  • Moon: a round moon with seas and craters, shaded properly for all eight phases
  • Clouds: larger, more natural cloud banks

Good to know: sunset colours and stars are drawn by the game's code, not by textures, so a resource pack without mods cannot change them. This pack changes everything in the sky that a vanilla pack can.

The sun, moon and cloud textures are original and generated for this pack.

Install

Drop the zip into your resourcepacks folder and switch it on in Options → Resource Packs. No mods needed. Works on Minecraft 1.21.11 and newer (tested on 1.21.11 and 26.3).
