Bone meal on moss now works on walls and ceilings too — with glow berries hanging from ceilings, trimmed to decorative lengths.
The problem In vanilla Minecraft, using bone meal on a moss block only works on floors. And glow berry vines keep growing until they touch the ground, turning every cave into a floor-length curtain.
Walls Use bone meal on a moss block attached to a wall and moss spreads across the surrounding surface in a circular patch (radius 2–3 blocks). Stone, dirt, gravel, coarse dirt, rooted dirt, diorite, andesite, deepslate, tuff and similar blocks turn into moss. The edge is randomly ragged so it looks organic, and the spread follows uneven cave walls up to two blocks deep.
Ceilings Moss spreads across the ceiling the same way — and instead of floor vegetation, glow berry vines grow downward from the new moss. Each vine has a random length (mostly 1–4 blocks, occasionally up to 7), roughly a third of the segments already carry berries, and vines keep at least a one-block gap between each other so they never clump.
Vine trimming (since 2.0.0) Natural cave vine growth is limited everywhere: every vine gets its own stable random maximum length (2–5 blocks) and never grows closer than 2 air blocks above the ground. Caves get varied, decorative hangings instead of uniform curtains. Already generated or placed vines are left untouched — only further growth stops.
Floors Completely untouched — vanilla behavior. Works from dispensers too. Perfect for overgrown ruins, cave bases and lush-caves builds.
Compatibility No new blocks or items and no replaced vanilla mechanics — the mod only listens to official NeoForge events (bone meal use and crop growth), so it is compatible with everything.
Requirements Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1+ Works on client & server (servers need the mod installed too)
