Dynamic RPG HUD
A cleaner way to play. Dynamic RPG HUD smoothly hides your hotbar, health, hunger, and armor bars when there's nothing you need to look at, and instantly brings them back the moment something actually matters.
✨ Features
- Smooth sliding animation — the hotbar and status bars slide off the bottom of the screen instead of just sitting there, with a framerate-independent animation that looks the same at 30 FPS or 300.
- Hides when idle — if you're standing still at full health and full hunger with nothing going on, the HUD tucks itself away.
- Hides while moving — walking, sprinting, or flying all clear the HUD too, keeping your screen clean for exploring, building, or screenshots.
- Instant reveal on anything that matters — the HUD snaps back the moment you:
- Switch your hotbar slot
- Your held item changes (different item, stack count, durability)
- You take damage
- You lose hunger
- You gain a status effect
- 4-second grace period — once revealed, the HUD stays fully visible for 4 seconds (80 ticks) before it's allowed to hide again, so you always get a clear look at what changed.
Design note: if you're standing still but hurt or hungry, the HUD stays visible even after the 4-second window closes. It only hides when you're moving or completely topped up and idle — so a health bar that still needs attention never disappears on you.
📦 Supported versions
This mod is built and released separately for every Minecraft version from 1.21.1 through 1.21.11, covering the full 1.21.x release line. Make sure to grab the file that matches your exact Minecraft version from the Files tab.
⚙️ Requirements
| Requirement | Needed |
|---|---|
| Fabric Loader | ✅ |
| Fabric API | ✅ |
| Server-side | ❌ (client-only) |
This is a client-side only mod — it doesn't need to be installed on servers and won't affect multiplayer compatibility.
🔧 Compatibility
Dynamic RPG HUD only changes how the hotbar and status bars are drawn on screen. It doesn't touch gameplay, items, or server logic, so it should work safely alongside most other client-side mods.
