On one of your many journeys through the overworld, you uncover a long forgotten secret and begin your search for mysterious ingredients scattered throughout different biomes and dimensions to forge the most powerful block ever known to blockkind.
Tips and Spoilers
Temple Basement
The first Temple (village building with a brewing stand) you find in your world will have a hole with a ladder hidden under a carpet which leads to a secret laboratory. This is where your adventure will start.
Essences
To start the ritual, you will need the Essences of the four classical elements Earth, Fire, Water and Air.
Earth Essence
To obtain Earth Essence, gather the following ingredients:
- Raw Iron
- Amethyst Shard
- Bonemeal
- Clay Ball
- Mandrake Root (found in Swamp Hut chests)
Use a Pestle (crafted with cobblestone and a stick) to grind the materials in a cauldron. Then, cover it with a block and wait about two minutes.
Water Essence
To obtain Water Essence, gather the following ingredients:
- Glow Ink Sac
- Nautilus Shell
- Heart of the Sea
- Prismarine Crystals
- Ice Crystal (found in Igloo chests)
Place the materials in a water cauldron with a fire or campfire beneath it. Then, wait about two minutes.
Fire Essence
To obtain Fire Essence, gather the following ingredients:
- Magma Cream
- Blaze Powder
- Gunpowder
- Coal
- Ember Seeds (found in Fortresses in the Nether)
Place the materials in a water cauldron with a fire or campfire beneath it. Then, wait about two minutes.

Burn the materials in a lava cauldron.
Air Essence
To obtain Air Essence, gather the following ingredients:
- Feather
- Wind Charge
- Dragon's Breath
- Phantom Membrane
- Shulker Soul (dropped by Shulkers in End Cities)
Let a lightning strike the materials in a cauldron.
The Ritual
Drop all the Essences on their altars in the laboratory and place the Dragon Agg in the center to start the ritual.
The Elixir of Life
To obtain the Elixir of Life, use a Glass Bottle on the Philosopher's Stone the ritual created. It will make you immortal for two minutes. You can do this infinitely, but it will cost you ten levels of experience every time.
