SimpleLock is a lightweight and secure server-lock plugin for Paper servers. It allows server administrators to temporarily lock their server behind a randomly generated numerical access code.

Perfect for private servers, development servers, testing environments, maintenance periods, or situations where you want to temporarily restrict access without shutting down the server.

✨ Features

🔒 Server Lock

Lock your entire server with a simple command:

/lock

When the server is locked, SimpleLock generates a random 6-digit access code.

The code is only shown to authorized administrators and is never revealed to normal players.

🔢 Secure Code Entry

Players joining a locked server are placed into a dedicated code-entry GUI.

They must enter the correct code using the on-screen number buttons before they can access the server.

While locked, players cannot simply bypass the system by:

• Moving around
• Breaking or placing blocks
• Opening inventories
• Interacting with the world
• Using normal commands
• Dropping or picking up items
• Chatting
• Using other common gameplay interactions

👑 Admin Access

Server administrators can continue using the server normally while it is locked.

Authorized admins receive the generated access code and can manage the lock using:

/lock
/unlock

🛡️ Security Features

SimpleLock includes several protections against accidentally or intentionally bypassing the lock:

• Randomly generated access codes
• Configurable maximum attempts
• Optional kick/block action after too many failed attempts
• UUID-based player authentication
• GUI interaction protection
• Protection against inventory exploits
• Code is not displayed to normal players
• Code is not exposed through tab completion
• Lock state can optionally persist through server restarts

🚀 Future Versions

SimpleLock currently focuses on Paper 1.21.x.

Support for newer Minecraft versions, including 1.26.3 and future releases, is planned and will be added.

The goal is to keep SimpleLock maintained and compatible with newer Minecraft versions over time.
