Darky’s Local Identity

Darky’s Local Identity is a client-side Fabric mod that allows you to customize how your Minecraft identity appears on your own screen without changing your real Microsoft or Minecraft account.

Features

• Change your displayed username locally with /nick
• Change your displayed skin with /skin
• Show your custom nickname in supported menus and interface elements
• Display the selected skin on your local player model
• Save your nickname and skin settings between sessions
• Reset your local identity whenever needed
• Fully client-side and safe to use without server installation

Commands

• /nick <name> — Sets your local displayed username
• /nick reset — Restores your real username
• /skin <username> — Uses the specified Minecraft player’s skin
• /skin reset — Restores your original skin

Important Information

All nickname and skin changes are local and visible only on your Minecraft client. Other players and servers will still see your real Minecraft username and account skin.

This mod does not modify your real Minecraft account, bypass server permissions, or change server-side player information.
