Ender Teleport

Turn an Ender Pearl in your pocket into a personal teleporter. Hold a Clock, Lodestone Compass, or Recovery Compass and crouch for 2 seconds — no commands, no crafting, no special items.

A lightweight data pack for Minecraft Java Edition 1.21.11.

✨ What it does

While you are carrying an Ender Pearl (it is not used up), hold one of these everyday items and hold Sneak/Crouch (Shift) for 2 seconds to teleport:

🧭 Lodestone Compass	The lodestone it is linked to
🔮 Recovery Compass	The spot where you last died

A countdown appears on your screen while you charge, so you always know it's working.

🎒 What you need

1. An Ender Pearl anywhere in your inventory — it stays, it's just the "key".
2. One of the three items above, held in your main hand.
3. That's it. These are normal vanilla items; no crafting or commands required.

For the Lodestone Compass, link a normal compass to a lodestone the usual way: right-click a placed lodestone block while holding a compass.

🎮 How to use (step by step)

1. Make sure you have an Ender Pearl in your inventory.
2. Hold the Clock, Lodestone Compass, or Recovery Compass in your hand.
3. Hold the Sneak key (Shift by default) for 2 seconds.
4. Watch the countdown — when it finishes, poof, you're there!

💡 Tips

• Release Sneak and press it again to teleport a second time.
• Releasing Sneak (or switching items) before the countdown ends cancels it.
• The Recovery Compass won't drop you into lava — if lava is above your death spot, it places you safely on top.

📦 How to install a data pack (for beginners)

Data packs go inside a single world, not in a mods folder.

1. Download this pack.
2. On the world you want, click Edit → Open World Folder (or open .minecraft/saves/<your world>).
3. Open the datapacks folder.
4. Drop the pack inside (the .zip or the ender_teleport folder — either works).
5. Back in game, run /reload, or leave and re-enter the world.

When it loads you'll see a purple message in chat. ✅

Servers: put the pack in the server world's datapacks folder, then run /reload.

🔍 Handy command

• /function ender_teleport:check_spawn — shows your detected respawn point (coordinates + dimension).

❓ FAQ

Does it use up my Ender Pearl? No — it only needs to be in your inventory.

Do I need special crafted items? No — a normal Clock, Recovery Compass, and lodestone-linked Compass all work.

Which dimensions work? The Overworld, the Nether, and the End.

Nothing happens when I sneak. Check that you (1) have an Ender Pearl, (2) hold the item in your main hand, and (3) keep Sneak held for the full 2 seconds.
