Give players a way to join servers from your hub world
HubPilot Interact lets players request a server by clicking an entity or sign, or walking into a configured portal area. It connects those interactions to HubPilot’s server request system, so your hub’s buildings and paths can lead somewhere.
For example, you could place a sign outside a survival-themed building and link it to your survival server. When a player clicks it, HubPilot handles the request. If that server is offline and has a startup provider configured, HubPilot starts it and transfers the player when it is ready.
What it adds
- Entity interactions: link an entity to a server so players can right-click it to request a connection.
- Sign interactions: give players a destination they can read and click.
- Portal areas: let players request a server by walking into a configured area.
- Mannequin interactions: use mannequins as clickable destinations on supported Minecraft and Interact versions.
These are additional ways to use HubPilot alongside its Navigator menu. You can choose whichever interactions suit your hub, whether that is a small room of signs or separate entrances for each game server.
Interact provides the interaction triggers. HubPilot Core handles startup requests, queues, and transfers using your network’s configuration. Interact does not run game servers itself or bypass their access and compatibility requirements.
Installation and requirements
Interact is an optional HubPilot add-on, not a standalone plugin.
You need:
- HubPilot Core on your Velocity proxy.
- HubPilot Hub and Link on your Paper hub.
- HubPilot Interact in that same hub’s
pluginsfolder.
You do not need to install Interact on every backend server, and players do not need a client mod for Interact.
Complete HubPilot’s setup and configure your destination servers before adding interactions. Interact’s command alias is /hpi; see the command reference for the available commands.
Use the Minecraft versions listed for the file you download, and check its release notes for compatible HubPilot component versions. Mannequin support and newer editing tools are not available in every build.
Documentation and support
When reporting a problem, include your Minecraft version, HubPilot component versions, and any relevant console errors. Remove passwords, tokens, and forwarding secrets before sharing logs.
