Cryptid Core Co Field Operations Deep in the forests and snowy backcountry, something is watching you. Six blocks tall. Human-shaped. Not human. It travels in families, hides behind trees, and hurls rocks when its kin are threatened.

Welcome to the Cryptid Core Co Field Operations Division.
What It Does Cryptid Core Co Field Operations puts a real, believable Bigfoot population into your Minecraft world. Not a boss to grind — a species to track. Bigfoots live in family groups around hidden nests, hunt prey, leave footprints and fur and bone piles behind, and mostly want to be left alone. Mostly.
Explore a forest at night and you might hear a howl — or a wood knock echoing between the trees. Follow the tracks and you might find a family: kids that creep curiously toward you, adults that duck behind trunks and peek, and if you're unlucky, a silver Elder that doesn't run from anything.
Whatever you do, don't touch the kids.
Features
- Redesigned Bigfoot based on witness sketches — broad shoulders, brow ridge, shaggy tufted fur, lifelike breathing and movement
- Full variant roster: 4 age classes (kids to silver Elders), male and female builds, and 5 biome-locked fur colors (brown, black, white, cinnamon, silver)
- Muddy variants — Bigfoots get muddy in the wild and dry off over time
- Family groups of 5-10 with ~3 kids, nesting behavior, and 200-block home ranges
- Curious kid Bigfoots that approach instead of flee — and a 40-block group vengeance system if you hurt one
- Hiding and peeking behavior — the classic sighting, in game
- Rock throwing (3 damage) from angry adults; Elders throw relentlessly
- Random wild wood knocks, more frequent at night
- Hunting behavior: adults kill prey and drag it to growing bone piles
- Bone piles: loot bone meal and rare Bigfoot Teeth — if you dare
- Evidence everywhere: footprints that fade, permanent scat, blood samples, fur snagged on tree trunks, stick teepees and twisted branches
- Deer with 4 biome-matched variants: Whitetail, Elk, Reindeer, and spotted Sika — breedable, with venison and leather drops
- Piney Creek content in birch forests: abandoned research campsite with the journals of Agent L and Agent X, Creek Boat House, stone weir, dogwood trees
- White Bigfoot variant with a territorial hotspot around the Creek Boat House
- Dedicated "Cryptid Core Co" creative tab with every item, block, and spawn egg
Roadmap
- Stage 4 — Field Operations gear: flashlight, camera, recorder, Field Journal, trail cams, and a tree-knock stick that Bigfoot may answer
- Stage 5 — Cryptid Core Co. branded cosmetic apparel
- Stage 6 — More forest biomes, the full Piney Creek Hollow biome, polish
- Stage 7+ — More cryptids join the roster
How It Changes Gameplay This isn't a horror mod and it isn't a boss mod. It's a mod that puts a living cryptid species in your world and gives you reasons to grab a torch and go looking. Every forest becomes a place where the birds might go quiet.
It's especially good for:
- Cryptid hunting and documentary-style content
- Roleplay and adventure worlds where mystery drives exploration
- Survival worlds that need something in the woods
- Anyone chasing the "did I just see that?" moment
Compatibility Built for Minecraft 1.20.1 using Forge 47.4.10. No dependencies. Adds entities, blocks, and items without changing vanilla mechanics. Plays nicely with most other mods.
