PlaytimeLimiter
Limit how long players can play on your server each day. Great for kids' servers, family servers, or anyone who wants to keep playtime in check.
Set one limit for everyone, give individual players their own limit, or exempt players completely. The plugin counts playtime, warns players before their time runs out, kicks them when it's used up, and keeps them from rejoining until the next reset.
Features
- Default limit for everyone: one config value limits all players
- Individual limits: give single players their own limit; it overrides the default
- Exempt players:
/playtime set <player> 0removes every limit for that player - Warnings in chat before time runs out (15, 10, 5 and 1 minute by default)
- Kick and rejoin block when the daily time is used up
- Bonus time: give a player extra minutes for today only
- Weekend bonus: extra minutes on Saturdays and Sundays
- Survives restarts: limits and today's usage are saved automatically
- No permission plugin needed: admin commands work for ops out of the box
- Configurable: reset time, timezone, warnings and messages
Commands
All subcommands are for ops and the console. Every player can run /playtime to see their own time left. /pt works as a shortcut.

How limits work
- A player with an individual limit always uses that limit.
- A player set to 0 / unlimited has no limit at all.
- Everyone else uses the default limit, if it's turned on.
Tip: the default limit also applies to ops. Exempt yourself with
/playtime set <you> 0before turning it on.
Config
plugins/PlaytimeLimiter/config.yml
reset-time: "00:00" # when used time goes back to zero (HH:mm)
timezone: "" # e.g. "Europe/Berlin"; empty = server timezone
default-limit: 0 # minutes for everyone without an individual limit; 0 = off
weekend-bonus: 0 # extra minutes on Saturday and Sunday
warn-at: [15, 10, 5, 1] # minutes left at which players are warned
messages: # MiniMessage format; placeholders <limit>, <left>, <reset>
kick: "<red>Your daily playtime of <limit> is used up.<newline><gray>Come back after <reset>!"
warning: "<yellow>You have <gold><left></gold> of playtime left today."
Run /playtime reload after editing.
Requirements
- Paper 26.3
- Java 25
A player has to have joined the server once before you can give them an individual limit.
Updating from 1.1.0
Replace the jar and restart. Your existing config.yml is not overwritten, so add default-limit: 60 (or any value) yourself and run /playtime reload. Existing player limits are kept.
