📻 Proximity Radio Client
Proximity Radio Client is an optional client-side mod made for servers using the Proximity Radio plugin. It improves radio playback without changing how radios are configured or managed by the server.
With the client installed, music stays accurately synchronized with the radio’s current playback position. You also get responsive controls for seeking, pausing, resuming and stopping tracks. Radio sound remains positional and distance-based, so turning around or walking away changes what you hear naturally.
✨ What does the client add?
- Accurate synchronization with the currently playing track
- Smooth seeking to another part of a song
- Responsive pause, resume and stop controls
- Positional and distance-based radio audio
- Correct playback when changing tracks or reconnecting
- Automatic music cleanup after leaving the server
- Support for servers with both modded and vanilla players
Players without the client can still use the generated Minecraft resource pack. Installing the client is optional unless the server owner decides otherwise.
⚠️ Server plugin required
This mod does not work by itself. The Minecraft server must have Proximity Radio installed.
Choose either edition:
Both editions support the same client mod. Pro changes the server-side limits and radio configuration options—it does not require a separate client.
🔧 Installation
- Download the client build matching your Minecraft version.
- Install it with the required mod loader and dependencies.
- Join a server running Proximity Radio.
- The server will detect the client automatically.
No additional audio pack or manual configuration is required on the player’s side.
