Matcha Plus Plus

What is this?

This is a modpack focused around the Matcha Flavoured datapack by Klei
(Also check out his YouTube channel!)

In case you don't know: the datapack revolves around re-balancing minecraft in a manner that makes it less reliant on creating mob grinders and farms and more approachable to the casual player without giving them the feeling they need to build a big and complicated farm off of youtube just to archive anything and much more!

This is a really short describtion and i highly recommend you check out the project page yourself for a better grasp of its mechanics and also if you plan on playing either this modpack or if this somehow make you want to test the datapack standalone i HIGHLY recommend to just play it as is, in other words try to avoid looking everything up beforehand, a lot of the advancements are not directly telling you what to do on purpose and generally only provide hints for you to figure it out yourself, please give it a try and if you genuienly do not like having to figure things out yourself go ahead and look it up, you are the maker of your own fun after all! <3

Why?

The main purpose of this pack is to be used on my own personal server hosting my (hopefully) 'forever' world, this pack is very much still in the works and changes from time to time and using modrinth will make sharing updates with both players and the server itself a lot easier to manage, that's really it.

However i also post it in here in case someone just wants to have a bit more of a Matcha + experience themselves.

Important!

You might notice that pack includes EasyNPC, this is because its going to be used on a server and its a nice tool for making busy builds look well... busy.
If you plan on using this on a server of your own just make a communal chest for now or hand them out / create them whenever needed, i might add a recipe to these myself later down the line.
(And yes you could totally use these to cheat, there's a reason why they are creative only items, only use them if you can control yourself or your playerbase when you hand them out!)

As mentioned in the "Why?" this pack is going to see major version updates, be prepared that if you are going to use the pack like i do that there might be some breakackes, mod updates can be fickle and there is no guarantee that things het updated beyond 26.2 properly, mod creators are also just humans sometimes just can't dedicate any more time to maintaining their creation so please always keep this in mind when updating and read the changelogs!

And last but not least, this pack might be using the Apache License 2.0 but you regardless may not sell this pack for profit, rehost nor link to it via revenue generating links such as adfly!
Its original hosting site is and will remain to be on Modrinth and i kindly ask you to respect that.
