Dynamic Nutrition
A realistic diet and nutrition mod based on real food data, where every food gives carbs, protein, fat, vitamins and minerals. Eating a varied diet and cooking your meals gives you effects for each nutrient, and it works with most food mods

One download per loader now covers every supported version, and far more foods from other mods get values: in a test pack of 34 food mods, foods with no values went from 274 to 86 out of 1,183.
Versions
- Fabric: 1.20 to 1.20.1, 1.21 to 1.21.1, 1.21.11, 26.1 to 26.3
- NeoForge: the same versions, with 1.20.1 running the Forge build
- Forge: 1.20 to 1.20.1, 1.21 to 1.21.1, 1.21.11
The file picks the right build for the version it is installed on. Every loader was tested in game on 1.20.1, 1.21.1 and 1.21.11, and Fabric and NeoForge also on 26.1.2, 26.2 and 26.3.
Food from other mods
- Ingredients that cannot be eaten now count. Wheat, sugar, milk, cake blocks and raw skewers passed on nothing before, although most modded dishes are made from them. This bug was there since 1.0.0
- A food served another way takes the values of the food it comes from: a stew in a cup, or a serving from a placed feast. A cup that restores half the hunger of the bowl is worth half the bowl
- A food's own name is read when nothing else gives it values, so spider meat counts as meat
- Tags that mods add are read: drinks tagged as juice get carbohydrates and vitamins, and a mod's own food tag such as raw dragon meat counts as meat
- When several mods add recipes for one item, the item's own mod comes first, then vanilla. Sugar made from a strider egg had turned sugar into a protein and fat source
- An ingredient only passes on what it is rich in, so honey no longer makes every sweet food a mineral source
Values change for many modded foods. In the same test pack, 367 foods that already had values now have different ones. Vanilla foods use their own data and are unchanged. /dynamicnutrition unassigned lists the foods that still have none, and reports of foods with missing or wrong values are very welcome.
Fixes
- 1.21 and 1.21.1: the nutrition screen was drawn before the menu blur, so the whole panel and its text came out blurred. It is sharp now
- 1.21 and 1.21.1: the Dynamic Nutrition advancement tab showed a missing texture instead of its background. It shows its background now
- Forge 1.21.11: milk cleared Well Nourished and Malnourished until the next nutrition update brought them back. Milk now leaves them alone, as on every other version and loader
Fabric API is required. Cloth Config is required on 1.21, 1.21.1 and 1.21.11, and optional on 1.20.x and 26.x, where the mod runs on its default settings without it. Mod Menu is optional and adds the Config button.
Optional dependencies
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
