The Better Diamond mod adds the ability to refine diamond items into diamond shards. It introduces a mechanic that could potentially be added to Minecraft in the future, especially since the recent Copper Age update introduced copper tools and items that can be smelted into nuggets. My mod expands on this idea by adding a similar mechanic—one that no one asked for, but I did.
