Distant Voices
Distant Voices is a pack with a focus on limited communications.
Players are limited to using proximity text or voice chat to commiunicate, if they wish to talk over long distances they will need to create radio towers and relay points across the map to talk with each other.
Multiplayer
Distance voices was designed to be played on a server with other people so the pack comes with a community server which anyone may join.
The server world is 4k by 4k and has the nether and end disabled.
The pack has ways of obtaining and crafting materials from other dimentions, some of which require players to spread out and take up residence in other biomes.
If you would like to host your own server for the pack a server download should be avalible soon.
Other changes
Some other changes the pack makes to player interaction are:
- All nametags are hidden (can be seen in chat if talking with text)
- Players can wear the heads of other players to take their entire skin and name tag
- Figura is installed for everyone, allowing players to customise their avitars, this includes the addon to allow for avitar interaction with voice chat.
- Join/Leave messages are removed along side the tab player list
- Commands normally used for communication like /msg /w or /me have all been disabled
This pack is still in development.
If you would like to give feed back and be up-to-date with when the servers are online you can join the discord.
