Riddles Region Manager
A property marketplace built around WorldGuard.
Turn existing regions into plots, houses, shops, apartments, and hotel rooms that players can buy, rent, manage, and auction through in-game menus.

Your regions. Your marketplace.
Riddles Region Manager (RRM) brings property listings, reusable templates, pricing, protection settings, and player management together.
Administrators select existing WorldGuard regions, configure their rules and prices, then publish them. Players use /market to browse available properties, inspect listings, visit plots, and purchase or rent eligible spaces.
Build a residential district, shopping area, rental town, or hotel using one consistent management workflow.
Features
Buy, rent, or offer both
Choose how players acquire each property:
| Mode | Player options |
|---|---|
| BUY | Purchase the property. |
| RENT | Rent it for a configured price and period. |
| BOTH | Choose purchase or rental while the property is available. |
Each plot can have its own transaction mode, purchase price, rental price, and rental period.
Guided setup and reusable templates
Open /rrm setup to select your regions, assign protection settings, configure pricing, and review your properties before publishing.
Reusable sub-templates keep the process organized:
- Region Sub-Templates save collections of selected WorldGuard regions.
- Settings Sub-Templates define protection groups, priority, entity profiles, and hotel behavior.
- Price Sub-Templates provide shared pricing with individual plot overrides.
- Publishing templates bring your selections together for reuse.
Create your WorldGuard regions first. RRM detects existing regions; the setup wizard does not create their boundaries.
Individual prices without separate templates
Set shared defaults, then override specific plots where needed.
For example, seven plots can share one rental price while three larger plots cost more. Purchase-only, rental-only, and combined offers can use the same pricing plan.
You do not need a separate price template for every plot.
WorldGuard protection groups
Organize protection rules into reusable settings groups:
- Baseline flags define the rules applied to a region.
- Unlocked flags determine which settings eligible owners may change.
Settings sub-templates combine these groups with region priority, entity profiles, and hotel behavior.
Members and managers
Owners can manage access, add members, and assign manager roles through in-game menus.
Available actions depend on roles and server permissions. Players can change only the protection settings administrators have made available.
Rentals and renewals
Configure rental periods, renewal windows, reminders, and grace periods.
Eligible players renew whole-plot rentals through /market renew. Renewal charges the current rental price and extends the existing expiration date by another rental period. Expired properties follow your server’s configured policies.
Whole-plot rentals and subleases
Eligible outright owners can rent out their entire property while retaining ownership.
Owners can also create subleases for rooms, stalls, or other defined spaces inside a plot. Lease-management menus handle invitations, prices, periods, and contracts.
Sublease tenants use /rental manage to review and manage their rented sub-region.
Property auctions
Eligible owners can offer properties through sale auctions. Players browse auctions and place bids through /market.
Configurable inactivity and takeover auction workflows provide additional administration options. Existing rentals, subleases, and eligibility rules determine which actions are available.
Hotel behavior
Enable hotel mode for rooms and controlled building spaces. Players normally may break only blocks they placed.
Management tools provide hotel information and placed-block tracking features.
Entity limits
Assign entity profiles to properties and let players inspect configured limits and loaded living-entity counts.
Entity restrictions and property acquisition limits remain under server control.
Property discovery
Help players find their next property with:
- Listing information and boundary previews.
- Teleporting with configurable costs and cooldowns.
- Path guidance where navigation routes are available.
Plot restoration
Restore eligible properties from saved baseline schematics.
A valid baseline and the appropriate permissions are required. Restoration can replace player changes within the restored area.
Requirements and compatibility
Install the RRM build that matches your platform and check the release’s supported Minecraft versions.
| Component | Requirement |
|---|---|
| Paper or Folia | Use the appropriate RRM build for your platform. |
| Riddles Core | Required on both Paper and Folia. |
| WorldGuard | Required for regions and protection. |
| WorldEdit | Required for selections and editing infrastructure. |
| zMenu | Required for the in-game menu system. |
| MySQL | Required for the full setup and management workflow. |
| Economy provider | Use a supported integration on Paper. TNE is required on Folia. |
Economy integrations
On Paper, supported integrations include:
- The Newer Economy (TNE).
ExcellentEconomy, with its NightCore dependency.REMOVED- Vault, with an economy plugin that registers a compatible service.
- VaultUnlocked, with a compatible economy provider.
On Folia, install The Newer Economy alongside Riddles Core. TNE is the required economy integration for RRM’s financial features on Folia.
Download Core and TNE from RiddlesLabs.com.
A bridge alone does not provide an economy. Direct CoinsEngine integration is no longer supported.
Database setup
MySQL is disabled in the fresh configuration. RRM can start in limited JSON fallback mode, but the full marketplace and setup workflow require a working MySQL connection.
Configure the database, enable MySQL, and restart before continuing.
Getting started
- Install the correct RRM build and its required dependencies, including Riddles Core.
- Install and configure your economy provider. Use TNE on Folia.
- Start the server to generate configuration files.
- Configure MySQL and the appropriate economy integration.
- Restart and verify initialization with
/rrm doctor. - Create your WorldGuard regions.
- Run
/rrm setupin the world containing those regions. - Select your regions, configure settings and prices, then review and publish.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use RRM for houses instead of shops?
Yes. Properties are based on WorldGuard regions and can represent houses, plots, shops, rooms, or other spaces.
Can every plot have a different price?
Yes. Shared defaults simplify setup, while per-region overrides allow different prices, transaction modes, and rental periods.
Can players change protection flags?
Only where the server permits it. Administrators choose editable flags, and tenant access can be restricted further by owner permissions.
Does the setup wizard create regions?
No. Define your WorldGuard regions first, then use the wizard to detect and select them.
Do I need Riddles Core on Paper?
Yes. Riddles Core is required on both Paper and Folia.
Do I need TNE?
TNE is required on Folia. On Paper, TNE is supported alongside the other economy integrations listed above.
Is RRM a drop-in replacement for AdvancedRegionMarket?
RRM offers its own setup and template workflow for region-based property markets. Test the features you rely on before migrating; commands, presets, and migration behavior may differ.
