/give++
Unlocking the impossible.
/give++ is a specialized utility mod for Fabric that expands the standard Minecraft /give command to support technical and unobtainable items.
Normally, Minecraft hides "internal" blocks (like Fire, Portals, or Piston Heads) from the player's reachโeven in Creative mode. This mod modifies the item registry and command logic to allow these items to be given and held in the inventory.
โจ Key Features
- Technical Access: Obtain items like
minecraft:fire,minecraft:soul_fire,minecraft:nether_portal, andminecraft:end_gateway. - Map Making & Testing: Easily access blocks used for logic and decoration that usually require external editors.
- Vanilla Feel: No new commands to learn; it hooks directly into the existing
/givesystem.
๐ Examples
Try these commands in-game:
/give @s minecraft:fireโ Hold fire in your hand!/give @s minecraft:nether_portalโ Place portal blocks anywhere./give @s minecraft:end_gatewayโ For advanced teleportation builds.
โ ๏ธ Important Notes
- Missing Textures: Since many technical blocks do not have a defined "item model" in vanilla Minecraft, they will appear as purple and black checkered cubes while in your inventory or hand. This is normal! Once placed in the world, they will show their correct textures.
- Server-Side Required: This mod must be installed on the Server to function. If you only install it on your client and join a vanilla server, the command will not recognize the new items.
๐ Common Questions
Q: Why do the items look like purple/black cubes? A: These blocks (like fire or portals) were never meant to be items. Since they lack item models, the game displays the "missing texture" fallback. They look perfect once placed!
Q: Is it compatible with other mods? A: Yes, it is designed to be highly compatible with other Fabric mods and doesn't overwrite existing item registries.
Q: How can I help? A: Download the mod, test it out, and report any bugs or requested items on the issue tracker!
