Changes
1.1.36
Changes
- The Gathering drops items on top of its chest once the chest is full, instead of carrying them to the owner.
- The Sinner's Burden with Spiritus Nihilum drags flying creatures down until they hover just above the ground, including flyers from other mods.
- With Spiritus Invictus added, the Sinner's Burden also drags down the Wither, and forces the Ender Dragon to perch on its portal for as long as it stays in range. Each boss costs more Invictus than before.
- Added Deus tools: Deus Cutting Fluid, Explosive Cell, Resonator, Hydration Cell and Reverter. Forged in the Hellfire Forge from the best tool of each kind, a Prismatic Spiritus Gem and a Tabula Aetherea, powered by a Grand Spiritus Gem, they never wear out and instead draw 50 EV per use from their owner, pausing the machine when the network runs dry.
- Added the Prismatic Spiritus Gem, made in the Athanor from a Nether Star and four Diamonds with a Divinus Orb in the tool slot and 30 of every Spiritus in the chunk. It is the heart of Deus crafting.
- Added the Divinus Activation Crystal, the Deus Inscription Tool and the Ritual Diviner [Deus] for building Deus rituals. Each is made with a Prismatic Spiritus Gem.
- The Collection Array leaves items alone while a nearby Furnace Array is smelting them and collects the results once they are done, so the two arrays together make a hands-off smelter (breakinblocks/NeoVitae#169).
- Added the Deus rituals: stronger forms of the Well of Suffering, Torment Nexus, Endless Quarry, Crystallum Fractura, Overgrowth, Mason, Fallen Trees and Meteo. Each is ringed with Deus Ritual Stones and woken with a Divinus Activation Crystal. The Deus Endless Quarry can mine with Silk Touch or Fortune III, chosen in the Ritual Configurator, and Deus meteors are made of ore with no filler stone.
- Added the Sentient Spear, forged in the Hellfire Forge from an Iron Spear and a Petty Spiritus Gem. It jabs and charges like a Netherite Spear with 0.5 less damage, and like the Sentient Sword it grows stronger with the Spiritus you carry, applies its Aspect's effects and collects Spiritus from the creatures it slays.
- Added the Deus Sentient Evolution ritual. Stand on it in Sentient Armor that holds 500 Upgrade Points to raise its capacity to 600, and every piece of Sentient Armor you wear is bound with Blood Mending.
Fixes
- The Gathering tops up partly filled stacks in its chest even when every slot is taken, and keeps collecting other items when one doesn't fit.
- Incense Altar paths reach only as far as their material allows: wood paths 3 rings, stone 5, worn stone 7 and obsidian 11. Dirt Paths and Stone Bricks count for the first ring only.
- Obsidian paths reach far enough for the Incense Altar's highest bonus, 450%.
- The Incense Altar guide pages now explain the path layout clearly: four 3-wide paths, twelve path blocks per ring, and the bonus limit for each number of rings.
- Runes of Efficiency now properly reduce the progress an Ara Vitae loses when it runs out of Essentia Vitae mid-craft. Each rune cuts the loss by 15%.
- The Ritual Configurator only shows the aspect picker for rituals that use it. Other rituals respond to the Spiritus in their chunk instead.
- A bound Lava Crystal now works in the Athanor, drawing 50 EV per item smelted. Before, the Athanor pushed it straight into its output slots.
- Trying to raise the Sanguine Ward without enough EV now shows a message saying how much is needed, and a message also shows when the ward collapses because the network ran out.
- The Sinner's Burden no longer uses up Spiritus on the Wither and Ender Dragon without affecting them.
- The Sentient Scythe can now take weapon enchantments such as Sharpness, Smite, Looting, Fire Aspect, Knockback and Sweeping Edge, and its area sweep carries them to every enemy it hits (breakinblocks/NeoVitae#175).
- Neptune's Trident from NauTec now drops in front of an Orb of Vitae ward when blocked, instead of disappearing (breakinblocks/Nautec#9). Other mods' thrown weapons can be added to the
neovitae:ward_retrievableentity tag for the same treatment.

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
