Enchanted Numbers
Tired of Minecraft’s old enchantment numbering style?
Tired of seeing enchantment.level.255?
Enchanted Numbers fixes that.
What it does
Enchanted Numbers replaces Roman numerals and broken level strings with clean, readable numbers.
This applies to tooltips, chat messages, and anywhere enchantment levels are displayed.
The best part: it also works with mods that add custom enchantments.
How it works
Minecraft stores enchantment level formatting in language files such as en_us.json.
Example:
"enchantment.level.5": "V"
By default, Minecraft only defines values from level 1 to 10.
Levels above that appear as raw keys like enchantment.level.11.
Enchanted Numbers replaces these Roman numerals with numeric values (e.g. "V" → "5")
and extends support up to level 255.
This is currently the only way to achieve this using resource packs.
Because of how Minecraft handles languages, each language requires its own file.
As a result, the pack size increases with the number of supported languages.
Some languages may still have issues. If you find any, please report them on Discord.
Supported Languages
We currently support 137 languages. Due to the large number, not all of them are fully tested.
If you encounter any issues, please report them on our Discord.

FAQ
Why is it taking so long to update?
We are not full-time developers. This project is developed in our free time.
Additionally, we need to test multiple languages.
If issues are found, they must be fixed across many files.
If you want to help, join our Discord and test prereleases, alphas, and betas.
Will you support older versions (1.21.10 and below)?
No, we do not plan to support versions below 1.21.10.
However, if you are interested in helping, feel free to join our Discord.
When will the pack support the latest version?
Updates typically take between 48 hours and 2 weeks.
This depends on how many changes Minecraft introduces in a new version. For further instructions, read our "How does the versioning system work?" article in the FAQ.
How does the versioning system work?
We usually start with a prerelease.
This is followed by 1–3 prereleases, then a beta phase.
Once everything is stable, the final release is published.
