All the dimensions!
-Every biome and noise preset as a dimension-
==========
About
"All the dimensions!" Is a data pack with one simple purpose: it adds different dimensions for every single valid biome in the game, and every noise preset combination! There are 168 dimensions and counting, including amplified, cave, overworld, and floating island versions of every valid minecraft biome.
How To Install
- Create a new world
- BEFORE loading the new world, go to "Data Packs"
- add this data pack to it and confirm
- load into the world
How To Go To Dimensions
Type the command:
/execute at @s in all_the_dimensions:[preset]_[biome] run tp @s ~ ~ ~
but replace [preset]_[biome] with the name of the dimension you want to teleport into.
For example:
/execute at @s in all_the_dimensions:amplified_ice_spikes run run tp @s ~ ~ ~
June 2026 overhaul
This major overhaul focuses on completely redoing the way this pack is created.
Previously it was generated using a difficult-to-maintain list of biomes in a plaintext file, which an autohotkey script would read from and fill out a template madlib-style.
In this overhaul, the datapack now uses the beet toolchain to generate all the dimensions.
Additionally, because of changes in modern minecraft versions, many biomes no longer generate belowground or in dimension types other than the overworld. many cave-type dimensions in old versions of this datapack were also redundant and identical.
Since the game cannot actually handle an overly large dimension count smoothly, and because of the aforementioned changes and issues, I have decided to make the following changes:
- "overworld" is now the only supported dimension_type. all others are no longer availible.
- the noise settings presets no longer include end or nether presets, leaving only "amplified","caves","floating_islands", and "overworld" presets.
- only three cave dimensions exist now: dripstone, lush, and plains. this is because of the aformentioned redundancy, since all other possible permutations were effectively identical in recent minecraft versions due to aboveground biomes ceasing to generate belowground.
aside from these changes, dimensions will still generate for all biomes, including end/nether biomes.
sadly, but necessarily, this reduces the dimension count to 198 as of this update. more will be added again when mojang adds new biomes or noise presets.
the good news is that this makes plenty of room for potential new features aside from just dimensions, to come in future updates to this datapack.
