Clean and Clear Glass (C&CG)

Starting from Minecraft 26.1, Clean and Clear Glass continues as a standalone Fabric mod.

For older Minecraft versions, it is recommended to use the older resource pack version instead. This mod version is made for Minecraft 26.1.x and newer versions going forward.

Clean and Clear Glass improves vanilla glass by making glass blocks and glass panes look cleaner, clearer, and visually connected. It keeps the original vanilla blocks and items, but changes how they are rendered on the client side.

This is a standalone client-side visual mod. It only requires Fabric API.

Settings

Clean and Clear Glass includes an in-game settings screen.

You can open it with:

Alt + G

The key can be changed in Minecraft:

Options > Controls > Key Binds

If Mod Menu is installed, the settings screen can also be opened from Mod Menu.

Available options:

• Turn Clean and Clear Glass rendering ON or OFF
• Change Tinted Glass style:
  • Default
  • Clear

When settings are applied, the mod reloads resources so the selected glass style can update in-game.

Special Tinted Glass

Tinted glass has configurable styles in this mod.

The Default style is the recommended style. It uses a unique clean tinted glass design with connected white marks. These marks create continuous lines across neighboring tinted glass blocks, making larger tinted glass areas look more consistent.

This helps tinted glass stay recognizable and visually different from black stained glass, while still keeping its darker appearance.

A Clear style is also available as an optional setting. This style makes tinted glass cleaner and easier to see through, but it may look closer to black stained glass. Because of that, the Default style remains the recommended option.

Glass item textures also follow the selected tinted glass style.

Installation

1. Install Fabric Loader for the supported Minecraft version.
2. Download and install Fabric API.
3. Download Clean and Clear Glass.
4. Put both .jar files into your Minecraft mods folder:
   • Fabric API
   • Clean and Clear Glass
5. Launch Minecraft with the Fabric profile.

Notes

Clean and Clear Glass changes the client-side rendering of vanilla glass blocks, glass panes, and their item models. It does not add custom blocks, custom crafting recipes, or gameplay changes.

The goal of this mod is simple: make vanilla glass cleaner, clearer, connected, and more pleasant to use in builds.
