🛡️ Visual Armor Trims 🎽

## FAQ ### What is this?

Click for answer

This pack aims to give the armor trims unique textures in the GUI, just like they have while worn by an entity. **This resource pack is a subset of [Visuals](https://modrinth.com/resourcepack/visuals)** if you like this, you will probably like that too. In vanilla all the armor trim items have the same texture, only with different colors. This means that in vanilla, you cannot distinguish between a netherite chestplate with a gold coast trim vs a netherite chestplate with a gold silence trim for example. The goal of this resource pack is to make that possible! Below is a table of each of the new textures: A table displaying all of the new armor trim textures

### How do I get it to work?

In order for you to get these wonderful textures: - **If you are on 1.21.5+ Visual Armor Trims are possible in Vanilla Minecraft! Download version 3.0 or higher!** - If you are on 1.21.3-1.21.4 these versions will not be getting Visual Armor Trims. It is recommended to update to 1.21.5. - If you are on 1.21.2 or below you will need client side mods. See below for compatibility.

Compatibility with 1.21.2 and below

Targeted mods/modpacks for 1.21.2 and below include: - [Fabulously Optimized](https://download.fo) (recommended) - [CIT Resewn](https://modrinth.com/mod/cit-resewn) (requires pack version 2.1) - [Polytone](https://modrinth.com/mod/polytone) (requires pack version 2.0) Neither Chime nor OptiFine are officially supported. It is still recommended to install Fabulously Optimized for 1.21.5+ for substantial performance gains, but it will no longer be necessary. Here is a table of compatible Minecraft and mod versions. CIT Type | 1.20.4 or below | 1.20.5-1.20.6 | 1.21-1.21.2 | 1.21.3-1.21.4 | 1.21.5 and above -----------|-----------------|---------------|---------------|---------------|- Vanilla | impossible | impossible | impossible | impossible | [**latest**](https://modrinth.com/resourcepack/visual-armor-trims/versions) CIT Resewn | [**1.1**](https://modrinth.com/resourcepack/visual-armor-trims/version/v1.1) | not supported | [2.1](https://modrinth.com/resourcepack/visual-armor-trims/version/v2.1) **with CIT Resewn v1.2.1+1.21 or above** | not supported | not required OptiFine | [**1.0**](https://modrinth.com/resourcepack/visual-armor-trims/version/v1.0) | not supported | not supported due to `paletted_permutations`* | not supported | not required Polytone | not supported | not supported | [2.0](https://modrinth.com/resourcepack/visual-armor-trims/version/v2.0) **with Polytone v2.4.10 or above** | not supported | not required Chime | not supported | not supported | not supported | not supported | not required *Paletted permutations is a vanilla feature that was introduced in 1.19.4 that breaks OptiFine CIT On (Neo)Forge, if you want to use the CIT Resewn version, you may be able to use [Sinytra Connector](https://modrinth.com/mod/connector) or [Forge CIT](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/forge-cit), however I do not test with these configurations. Polytone should work fine with NeoForge.
