Rise of Villages
A Minecraft mod about villages. Buy one, turn its people into an army and keep them alive.
Buy a village
Crouch and use the bell of any village. The screen shows how many chunks the village takes, who lives there and the price in logs, iron and copper. Pay, and the village is yours.
- The territory follows the pieces of the village, so no house gets cut in half.
- The villagers and golems that were inside stay with you, and come back if they wander off.
- Other players can't build or break inside (it's a server option). Mobs still attack.
- Show borders, on the bell screen, draws the territory in the world.
- One village per player. You can abandon it from the bell, and it asks twice.
The army
Build Barracks to recruit infantry and an Archery Range to recruit archers. You pay in emeralds, the nearest villager walks over and becomes a soldier.
- Knights, archers, pikemen, crossbowmen and iron golem soldiers.
- Soldiers dress like their village: in the taiga the knight is a Huscarl, in the desert a Mamluk.
- They level up fighting or hitting a Training Dummy, and their armor changes as they level, in five stages.
- Each soldier has its own screen with gear slots, a name and three orders: stay, guard, or follow you in formation.
- The Commander Staff switches the formation: line, wedge, circle or column.
- Swords and tools are 3D. Knights keep the sword on their back out of combat, and you carry yours in sheaths at the waist and on the back.
- Weapon stands and the Armory: soldiers start with empty hands and gear up there.
- Give a knight a tamed horse with a saddle and he rides it. He charges in a straight line and keeps the formation, and the horse armor grows with his level.
Also in the mod
- Hanging bridges in six kinds of wood, stretched between two points.
- Copper Eye: like an Eye of Ender, but it flies to the nearest Trial Chamber.
- Cesium-137: ore, Geiger counter, refiner, grenade and a nuke, plus radioactive bees and slimes and the Mutant.
- A dimensional portal, built with the Portal Creator.
- Lead armor.
The Copper Eye and the lead armor only have a recipe when another mod adds copper dust or lead (Elementarium does).
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.21.1 and NeoForge 21.1.251 or newer
