Torch on the belt

Torch on the belt is a Fabric mod for Minecraft 1.21.11 that lets you equip a regular vanilla torch on your belt and carry light without keeping it in your hand.

Designed for players who want a simple and immersive solution for exploration, this mod gives you a moving light source while keeping your hands free for mining, combat, building, or using tools.

Features

• Equip a normal torch on your belt with V
• Remove it and return it to your inventory with G
• Emits moving light around the player while equipped
• Keeps the normal vanilla right-click torch placement
• Uses a standard vanilla torch instead of adding a separate custom item

Why use it?

Exploring caves with a torch in your hand is inconvenient, especially when you need to mine, fight, or move quickly.
Torch on the belt solves that problem by letting you wear your torch instead of holding it.

You keep the familiar vanilla torch, but gain a cleaner and more practical exploration experience.

How it works

1. Hold a normal torch in your hand
2. Press V to equip it on your belt
3. The torch is removed from your inventory and attached to your player
4. While equipped, it creates moving light around you
5. Press G to remove it and return it to your inventory

Notes

• Works with regular vanilla torches
• Torches can still be placed normally with right-click
• If your inventory is full when removing the torch, it will be dropped near the player
• Requires Fabric API
