A map delivered as an image
This plugin is not an online map service. It turns the existing data of one world into a crisp source PNG map and a smaller copy suitable for the web.
Main features
A fixed source scale: one block equals one pixel. Automatic bounds from stored chunks or an exact square selected by its centre and edge length. Scanning without generating new terrain. Rendering of materials, biomes, height, water, and surface details. Transparent space wherever selected chunks do not exist. Pause, resume, speed control, and continuous cleanup of intermediate files.
Typical uses
An overview map of one Minecraft world. Archiving the state of a world at a specific time. A source image for the web, print, or further graphic work. A precisely bounded map of a selected server area.
Large map and web copy
For an area up to 8192 × 8192 blocks, the output contains two finished files: the full world-map.png at its real scale and the smaller crisp world-map-web.png. A larger area is never shrunk or distorted; fixed neighbouring maps are added around the central part.
