Sequence

Sequence is a Minecraft mod that plays animated PNG image sequences on players' screens using server commands.

Features

• Plays PNG animations from local folders.
• Displays sequences to one or multiple players.
• Supports fullscreen playback and different screen positions.
• Configurable FPS, looping, scale, size, and screen offsets.
• Includes the /sequence stop command to stop a running sequence.

Installation

1. Install Fabric Loader for Minecraft 1.21.1.
2. Install Fabric API.
3. Place the Sequence .jar file in your mods folder.
4. Install the mod on the server and on the clients that will display the sequences.
5. Start Minecraft once to create the sequence folder.

Animation files

Place animation folders inside /.minecraft/sequence/. Each folder should contain its PNG frames in order. The folder name is used as the animation name.

Example:

/.minecraft/sequence/intro/frame_001.png
/.minecraft/sequence/intro/frame_002.png
/.minecraft/sequence/intro/frame_003.png

Commands

All commands require permission level 2.

Fullscreen

/sequence play <targets> <id> <animation> <fps> <loop> fullscreen

Screen position and scale

/sequence play <targets> <id> <animation> <fps> <loop> <anchor> <offsetX> <offsetY> scale <scale>

Available positions: top_left, top_center, top_right, center_left, center, center_right, bottom_left, bottom_center, and bottom_right.

Custom size

/sequence play <targets> <id> <animation> <fps> <loop> <anchor> <offsetX> <offsetY> size <width> <height>

Stop a sequence

/sequence stop <targets> <id>

Example:

/sequence play @a intro intro 24 false fullscreen
/sequence stop @a intro
