What is this modpack?
The Superior Performance modpack is a barebones modpack made to boost FPS and improve frametime. It's intended to be a clean starting point, so you can add any mods you like while having excellent performance.
Features
- Higher FPS in both singleplayer and multiplayer
- Reduced stuttering and frametime spikes
- Lower memory usage
- Faster chunk loading
- Improved entity and block rendering performance
- Near-vanilla gameplay with no content changes
Guide
Make sure to put
--add-modules jdk.incubator.vector
in the java arguments for maximum performance. Unsure how? Visit this link: JVM args setup guide
Also, do not just extract the mods and put it in your mods folder since I have tweaked some of the mods config files to improve FPS. Yes, it does make a difference.
Why choose the Superior Performance modpack?
Many other modpacks that claim to boost performance include extra features and quality-of-life mods that players may not want or aren't part of vanilla Minecraft.
The problem is that these mods sometimes bloat the game and even reduce FPS, which is the exact opposite of what a purely performance-focused modpack should do.
That is why Superior Performance only includes mods that improve performance and increase FPS. No unnecessary mods, and no bloat by default.
