A mod that tries to add content from minecraft dungeons in the most vanilla way possible. I was very annoyed at how most mc dungeon mods have clunky models and simple textures ripped straight from the game. This mod is very new and has very little content for now but the systems are in place for future updates. (if I have time for that)
Mods Features
These are the current features and stuff in the mod.
Combo System!
The Combo System is super duper simple. Every Hit your combo will go up one, doing a Critical hit will finish your combo and apply any bonus damage or effects your weapons might have. This will only happen if your weapon has the attributes for an increased Max Combo.
Critical Hits mean hitting a mob while falling down
- The Combo Scroll can be used to apply combo attributes to any item or weapon that doesn't already have them. This is important for certain enchants this mod adds which rely on those criticals, or if you just want bonus damage on your weapon. It increases the Max Combo for a weapon to 3, but gives it +2 bonus damage on Combo Finish. It has a keybind and description ingame for how to apply it, but just put it in your offhand and hold the item you want buffed in your main hand and click the keybind. (C by Default)
- There is little text above your Hotbar indicating your Combo Status, like failure, success, and current combo.
- This text can be modified in the mods config, not fully though. I might let you be able to completly customize what it says in the future.
New Items
These are the new items which aren't tools or armor or artifacts.- Unique Template - Used in a smithing table alongside any armor or tool from this mod to make it into it's unique form. The extra ingredient is normally a simple ingredient cause of some problems I was having, so it's normally like redstone or emeralds. Check the tool or weapons in the description to find out how to make them. Can also be rarely sold from Wandering Traders.
- Wolf Fur - Gotten from killing wolves, it's used for crafting the wolf armor. It can also be made into wool or sold to butchers. If you wanna be a pacifist, remember that the base wolf armor can be gotten from crates too.
- Combo Scroll - Used to apply Combo Stats to items to allow them to do combos. Gives the item in mainhand +3 Max Combo and +2 Combo Bonus Damage. It has a keybind and description ingame for how to apply it, but just put it in your offhand and hold the item you want buffed in your main hand and click the keybind. (C by Default)
New Weapons
I've currently added 2 weapons sets. I plan to add 1 complete set at a time. Slowly filling them up.Katanas
- Katana - Made with a stick, a gold ingot, and 2 iron ingots. It attacks pretty quickly and deals 5 damage. But it has a Max Combo of 3 and deals 4 extra damage upon completing that combo.
- Master's Katana - Unique'd using redstone dust, Deals 7 damage. Has a Max Combo of 3 and deals 5 bonus damage on completion. Has a 15% chance to deal extra damage per hit
- Dark Katana - Unique'd using Amethyst, Deals 7 damage. Has a Max Combo of 3 and deals 5 bonus damage on completion. Deals 3 extra damage to undead mobs.
Greathammers
- Greathammer - Made with 5 iron ingots, 1 iron block, 1 leather, and 1 stick. Has alot of durability, and every critical finishes a combo. Deals 10 damage per hit but is slower than an axe. Can also be used as an ok pickaxe too.
- Stormlander - Unique'd using a Diamond. Does 16 attack damage, but is still slow to hit. Mines quicker, and has a 30% chance to electricute nearby mobs on hit for some damage. (Doesn't electrute your pets, don't worry).
- Hammer of Gravity - Unique'd using Amethyst. Does 16 attack damage, but is still slow to hit. Mines quicker, and pulls in nearby mobs on Combo Complete/ Critical Hit, since every critical is a Combo Complete.
- Bonehead - Special Weapon rarely gotten from Crates. Does 12 attack damage, but is also slow to hit. Mines quickly too. 50/50 chance to either launch mobs up or dig them down a block. Kinda broken but not too broken. Repaired using boneblocks.
New Armors
There are currently 2 armor sets. yadda yadda. I had to design the legs and boots for all these new armor sets since for some reason the "Heroes" in Minecraft Dungeons don't wear pants!?Wolf Armor Sets
- Wolf Armor - Made from Wolf Fur and Leather. Increases movement speed by 5%, and Increases Pet Damage by 20% per armor piece.
- Fox Armor - Unique'd using Emeralds. Increases movement speed by 6%, Increases pet damage by 20%, and gives +8% chance to negate damage per armor piece. By negate damage I mean that you completly avoid it and don't take damage from it.
- Dark Wolf Armor - Unique'd using redston dust. Increases movement speed by 4%, Increases pet damage by 25%, and Increases pet health by 10% per armor piece. If your pet is at full health than its health will automatically be increased to its new max health, but if its damaged than its current health will stay the same and its max health would increase.
Thief Armor Sets
- Thief Armor - Made using iron ingots, string, and leather. Each piece increases attack speed by a different percent. Helmet +6%, Chestplate +10%, Leggings +8%, Boots +6%.
- Spider Armor - Unique'd using redstone dust. Each piece increases attack speed by a different percent. Helmet +8%, Chestplate +14%, Leggings +10%, Boots +8%. But each piece gives a basic +5% lifesteal bonus.
New Artifacts
- Deathcap Mushroom - The deathcap mushroom has been changed a bit from Minecraft Dungeons. Deathcap Mushrooms can generate on any hard blocks/stones anywhere, but are more likely to spawn under mushroom islands and dark oaks. But if you can't find them generating anywhere, then they also can rarely be found in Mineshaft Chests. They can be cooked into an edible food which gives the Frisson Effect. This effect gives extra speed and attack speed. The Mushrooms can also be made into a stew with beetroot, this stew gives a longer and stronger effect. They grow only in darkness and can only be placed on hard blocks like stone, with the sole exception of mycelium of course. They can be bonemealed to just drop another mushroom, or if bonemealed while on mycelium they can grow into a larger mushroom with new blocks. Sorry the large mushroom can't grow on other surfaces, its due to a bug I didn't know how to fix.
- Powershaker - Crafted with 1 Tnt, 2 String, 1 Redstone Dust, and 1 Stick. Holding it down will activate it, which will give you the Bombastic effect. This effect increases your Attack Damage, Explosion Knockback Resistance, and will give you a chance to explode mobs on hit (Doesn't break blocks) . You also run 2% quicker. All of these scale with the effect level. It has 12 Durability and loses one per use. There is also a little gimmick which allows you to increase your Bombastic level, but I won't tell you. Try to find it out ingame, it's not too hard.
New Biomes
- Pumpkin Pastures - A new autumn like biome with a new wood type, Ochre Wood, with Red and Yellow Leaves. The biome is filled with pumpkins, flowers, coarse dirt and large rocks. Mineshafts and Pillager Outposts can rarely appear generate here. The grass and foliage has an orange color. No new structures yet in this biome, for now.
Other New Stuff
- Ochre Wood - A new kinda dull orange/red wood gotten from the new Pumpkin Pastures. Comes with boats, doors, buttons, and pretty much everything you can expect for vanilla.
- Leaves of Ruby and Gold - 2 New leaf blocks that the new Ochre trees can generate with a 50/50 chance. They drop Ochre Saplings too sometimes and can be picked up with shears.
- Rotten Pumpkin Family - Combining a Pumpkin with a poisnous potato will make it rotten. These pumpkins make little fly particles based on the type with the base rotten pumpkin making the most. By Family, I mean that there is the Rotten Pumpkin, Carved Rotten Pumpkin, and the Jack o'Blight. They don't generate naturally yet but will come in the future when I add the Overtaken Pastures, or just where the evil pillagers and stuff will be.
- Warpy Cushions - Found in Warped Forests, they create poison and nauseating clouds whenever stepped on or hit by a projectile. They then go on cooldown for a bit. They don't have much use for now other than that but will be used in the future for the potions that the Piglin Thrower uses. Also the joke was way better in my head for the name.
New Enchants
Since most unique weapons from Minecraft Dungeons are just normal weapons with built in enchants, as I add in new unique weapons I will also add the associated enchants. These enchants don't stack with the weapon's built in enchant.
- Gravitation - Treasure Enchant based on the Hammer of Gravity. On finishing a Combo, nearby mobs are pulled into the mob last hit. Max Level of 3, Level affects how strongly mobs are pulled in. Due to it requiring a combo finish to work, Remeber to use a Combo Scroll on Vanilla/other Modded Weapons
- Thundering - Normal Enchant based on the Stormlander. 30% chance per hit to electrute and hurt nearby mobs. Max Level of 2, Level affects damage done with a Max of 4 damage.
- Gambler's Hit - Treasure Enchant based on the Master Katana. 15% chance per hit to deal bonus damage. Max level of 3, Level affects damage done with 4 extra damage max. I know the name kinda sucks but I didn't want to use the word Critical to not cause confusion
Crates
There are Crates for Armor, Weapons, and Artifacts. They won't give anything unique but can be nice to find. For now they only generate in vanilla dungeons but will later spawn in this mods structures. They are also one of the only ways to get the Unique Smithing Template, other than Wandering Traders.
For now the Mods config is very small and is only used for the mods Combo Tips. All Textures made by ME but sounds are either edited from Minecraft Dungeons or from Pixabay
Thats probably not everything in this mod and there are probably some other little features I added which you can find out ingame. Got any bugs or feedback, put it on the github. Thanks for reading and checking this mod out, and Have Fun!
