Simply Shaded
A minimal shaderpack built for one goal: maximum FPS. No shadows, no post-processing, no bloat — just the lightest possible shader pipeline with a touch of visual polish where it doesn't cost anything.
From my testing, my FPS went from 134 without shaders to 121 with. This is barely any drop compared to most other packs.
Why it's fast
- No shadow pass. Shadow maps are usually the single most expensive part of a shaderpack. Simply Shaded skips them entirely.
- No composite/deferred passes. There's no extra full-screen post-processing running every frame.
- Minimal gbuffer shaders. Every shader does the bare minimum: sample the texture, multiply by vertex color, multiply by the lightmap. That's it.
Features
- Near-vanilla performance with Iris enabled
- Correct mob hit-flash / glow effects preserved
Requirements
OR
Installation
- Download the file below
- Drop it into your
.minecraft/shaderpacksor.minecraft/instances/instance/shaderpacksor your.minecraft/profiles/instance/shaderpacksfolder, depending on your launcher or version. - In-game: Video Settings → Shader Packs → select Simply Shaded
Who is this for?
Anyone who wants Iris's compatibility benefits without the FPS hit of a HUGE shaderpack — people with low-end PCs, PvPers who want max framerate, or anyone who just doesn't want their FPS tanked.
I need proof that it works >:(

My PC with a Ryzen 5 5500U, Radeon Graphics (Integrated) and 8GB DDR4 got 50 FPS rendering THAT.
