Forged SMP is a survival server where you roll a race, pick up a weapon that only really works for that race, and go looking for trouble. There are dungeons, bosses, meteors that crash down out of nowhere and a bounty board, and everyone starts from the same place.
What you'll find
Races. When you join you get 3 spins to roll one of 13 races, and the last one you land on is yours. Each one has real perks, from fire and lava immunity to flying like you're wearing an elytra. Most people end up Common or Uncommon, and the rarest tier is a 1 in 10,000 pull. Don't like your roll? There's a craftable item that rerolls it.
Race weapons. Every race has a signature weapon with a passive and two abilities. Anyone can pick one up, but it only shows its full strength in the hands of its own race.
The Rift. A cave dungeon for up to 4 players, built fresh every time. Portals tear open near players now and then, or you can craft a key and open one yourself. Fight through the rooms, solve the sigil puzzle, kill the boss and loot the chests. It's PvE only, nobody can hurt anybody inside. There are rarer, angrier rifts too, and one extremely expensive item that turns a rift into a sealed vault that can only be cleared once, ever.
Bosses and events. Named boss fights in arenas of their own, and strange things happening near you every so often. We're not spoiling those.
The Forge. A meteor sometimes crashes near a player and stays for about 10 minutes. Hammer a piece of armor on its core in a timing minigame to earn a permanent buff, or ruin it. One shot per piece, ever.
Teams and bounties. Teams of up to 5 with no friendly fire from any ability, a shared chest, team chat and low health alerts. Put real items on someone's head, and whoever kills them gets all of it.
Tracking Hour. Once a day the Locator Bar switches on for the whole server, and for a while nobody is really hidden.
