Changes
v5.0b
Fixed
- Crepuscular rays: Fixed shader compilation failures when disabled or when blocky clouds are enabled.
- Volumetric fog smoothing: Corrected fog buffer comments, fixed blur tap spacing to match the fog buffer's resolution, and updated smoothing descriptions across all nine language files.
- GUI visibility: Fixed missing settings, including entity shadows, vanilla AO, cave fog, motion blur, and Purkinje shift.
Changed
- Nether fog: Made turbulent, ember-glowing smoke the only fog model, removing the old flat-glow emission option.
- TAA and CAS: Made temporal anti-aliasing and sharpening permanently enabled, removing their toggles and intensity sliders. TAAU remains unchanged.
- Coloured light shafts: Now automatically follow the coloured-shadows setting.
- Sandstorms and ozone: Removed per-layer toggles; both effects now use their master settings.
- Sun and moon: Removed vanilla texture options and angular-radius sliders, leaving shader-drawn celestial bodies.
- Cloud settings: Listed all cloud layers directly on the Sky screen, removing the intermediate cloud submenus.
- GUI cleanup: Removed an empty Space screen slot and renamed
crepuscularRaystocrepRays, fixing single-column screen layouts.
Technical
- Library cleanup: Renamed utility includes to
util.glsl, moved cloud utilities toclouds/util/, renamedencoding.glsltoencode.glsl, and merged checkerboard utilities intobicubic.glsl. - Localization: Renamed language files to lowercase locale codes and removed obsolete settings from all nine locales.
