Changes
0.4.0 (beta)
Same requirements as 0.1.0.
Changed
- Cumulus: lobed outlines, crisper edges, finer detail up close. Brighter sunlit sides, darker undersides and gaps. Thin cloud toward the sun a little dimmer.
- Stratocumulus: crisper cell edges. Decks thicker in some regions, with larger cells there. Softer shading: lighter thin edges and shaded sides, slightly darker thick middles. Cell edges less dark from above.
- Painted clouds: crisp lobed cumulus, brighter decks, light rim toward the sun.
- Altostratus: grey-white veil with a soft sun glow. Thickness up to 4.0.
- Thunderstorms: the anvil breaks up and clears sooner. Streaky underside and mammatus as it fades.
- Sun Rays: shafts in the haze under the clouds toward a low sun. Beams also fan out above, between and behind the clouds.
- Distant haze: bluer and clearer, about 57 km visibility.
Fixed
- TAA: much less shimmer on far land, leaves and edges when still
- Far small clouds blinking near the horizon
- Stratocumulus: dark grooves between cells from below
- Retro Filter: scanlines in windows under 675 px tall
- Panini Projection: flare and sun glare follow the warped sun
- Sun Rays: beams and shade now show in the haze toward a low sun
New options
- Camera: Bright Whites slider. Sunlit clouds and snow can reach white. Default 0 (off).
- Clouds: Cloudiness slider. Daily weather leans toward clear or cloudy days. Default 0 keeps the real-world mix.
- Clouds: Cloud Upscaling. Temporal, the default: less cloud grain (mostly in shade) and sharper edges when the view and clouds are still. Edges a little softer in fast turns. Smooth is the old upscale.
