Easy Anvils makes anvils more convenient, less frustrating, and far more practical to use. 🔨 Items stay inside the interface when you close it, while the contents are rendered directly on the block for a more immersive experience.

The mod also reworks several vanilla anvil mechanics that can make repairing and upgrading gear unnecessarily tedious. Prior work penalties become much less restrictive, repair costs stay reasonable for longer, and several common actions are made more affordable. ✨

From repairing damaged anvils to free renaming and formatting support, this mod delivers a collection of quality-of-life improvements that make anvils feel better throughout the entire game.

🔨 Persistent Anvils: Items remain inside the anvil after closing the interface instead of popping back into your inventory.
👀 Visible Contents: Items placed in an anvil are rendered directly on the block in the world.
📉 Reduced Prior Work Penalties: Repairing and renaming no longer suffer from rapidly escalating prior work costs.
✨ More Affordable Enchanting: Enchanted book application costs are reduced and expensive operations are far less restrictive.
🏷️ Free Renaming: Renaming items can be performed without spending experience levels.
🎨 Formatting Support: Item names support formatting codes for custom colors and text styles.
🛠️ Repair Damaged Anvils: Use iron blocks to restore anvils and extend their lifespan.
💪 More Durable Anvils: Anvils are less likely to become damaged or break during use.
⚙️ Highly Configurable: Fine tune repair costs, prior work penalties, durability, and many other mechanics.

⏩ INSTALLATION REQUIRED ON CLIENT & REQUIRED ON SERVER

⏩ REQUIRES PUZZLES LIB TO BE INSTALLED (FABRIC & NEOFORGE)

⏩ REQUIRES FABRIC API TO BE INSTALLED (FABRIC)

⏩ REQUIRES FORGE CONFIG API PORT TO BE INSTALLED (FABRIC)

If available for a mod, configuration is possible directly from in-game using the mod menu (requires Mod Menu by Prospector to be installed on Fabric).

For manual configuration using an external text editor all files are found at .minecraft/config, named as MOD_ID-client.toml, MOD_ID-common.toml, or MOD_ID-server.toml, depending on the type of config. Not all types might exist for a mod, if any at all.

🌟 Thanks to tfarecnim and their Anvil Tweaks, and Anvil Repair mods, which this mod is largely based upon.

🌟 Thanks to elhertz for suggesting the anvil max enchantment level fix.

🌟 Thanks to Illios42 for suggesting the feature for allowing text to be stylized using Minecraft's formatting codes in the anvil and name tag interface.
