Enchancement

Enchancement is a mod that aims to completely overhaul vanilla Minecraft's enchanting system, along with some other adjacent mechanics.

Enchancement currently adds 34 unique and fun enchantments to the game: ``` Helmet Enchantments: * Assimilation: Automatically consumes food when you're hungry while out of combat, prioritizing off hand. Food and drinks are consumed faster. * Perception: Increases visibility in the dark and causes mobs to be seen through walls. * Veil: Decreases monster detection range and hides your name behind walls. Chestplate Enchantments: * Adrenaline: Increases movement speed and reduces damage taken proportional to missing health. * Amphibious: Increases underwater mining and movement speed. Decreases air consumption underwater and time spent on fire. Immediately extinguishes you and allows usage of Riptide for some time after leaving water. * Strafe: Pressing [Left Shift] launches you in your movement direction. * Wardenspine: Harms and blinds attackers and greatly decreases damage taken from behind. Leggings Enchantments: * Dash: Pressing [Left Control] in the air launches you forward. * Gale: Allows you to jump more times in the air. Holding [Space] allows you to briefly glide. * Slide: Holding [Left Control] while grounded causes you to slide constantly. Pressing [Left Control] in the air causes you to slam toward the ground, knocking back mobs and negating fall damage. Boots Enchantments: * Buoy: Causes you to walk on fluids, descending via sneaking. Holding jump while submerged or [Space] while wet propels you upward. Prevents floating. Grants a speed boost for some time after leaving water. * Bouncy: Negates fall damage. Launches you upward upon landing while not sneaking. Sneaking, moving, or bouncing will charge a super jump that can be released by jumping while holding [Space]. * E-Speed: Sprinting while grounded builds up an E-Meter, increasing your movement speed. Holding [Space] while at full power allows you to float. * Sticky: Allows sliding down and jumping off walls. Leaves a trail of honey where you walk that slows mobs. Sword Enchantments: * Berserk: Increases damage dealt proportional to missing health. * Frostbite: Freezes attacked mobs. When killed, turns them into ice statues that can be moved or shattered, launching ice shards that freeze other mobs. Bow Enchantments: * Chaos: Gives arrows a random negative potion effect, or positive if sneaking. * Delay: Arrows will pause after shooting, building up damage over time. Can be launched prematurely by punching, and additionally redirected by sneaking. * Phasing: Causes arrows to have no gravity and phase through blocks and shields, upon which they regain gravity. Crossbow Enchantments: * Brimstone: Fires a piercing laser that ignores armor and increases damage with charge and distance. Costs health to fire. * Scatter: Allows Amethyst Shards to be loaded which explode into a burst of projectiles. * Torch: Allows rapid firing of Torches that ignite shot mobs. Torches that land on a block will be placed if fired while sneaking. The Crossbow can only load Torches. Trident Enchantments: * Leech: Regenerates health when dealing damage. Thrown Tridents will temporarily stick to mobs and deal damage. * Warp: Teleports you to the location of the Trident if it didn't hit a mob. Mace Enchantments: * Meteor: Causes smash attacks to ignite attacked mobs and pull them down. Allows charging to launch you upward, damaging and igniting nearby mobs. * Thunderstruck: Direct attacks chain to nearby mobs. Allows charging to launch you forward and briefly float. Punching while floating causes you to dash forward and smash into the ground. Pickaxe Enchantments: * Burrowing: Mines blocks in a wide area while not sneaking. Increases damage dealt proportional to the attacked mob's armor. * Extracting: Extracts materials from connected ores while not sneaking, leaving the stone behind. Axe Enchantments: * Beheading: Increases damage dealt with headshots. Slain mobs have a chance to drop their head. * Lumberjack: Connected logs will also be destroyed while not sneaking. Increases effectiveness against Shields. Shovel Enchantments: * Burrowing: Mines blocks in a wide area while not sneaking. Increases damage dealt proportional to the attacked mob's armor. * Scooping: Increases mob drops and damage dealt. Using on a mob will bury it if the ground below is soft enough. Hoe Enchantments: * Apex: Increases damage dealt. Attacking from a distance always results in a critical hit. Fishing Rod Enchantments: * Disarm: Steals or disables a latched mob's held item. * Grapple: Allows the Fishing Bobber to latch onto blocks. Launches you toward that block upon release. Reels in mobs with more strength. ``` Everything Enchancement adds is configurable: * Disallowed Enchantments: * Removes most vanilla enchantments from the game. Enchancement tries to make choosing your enchantments more fun and engaging by replacing many of the stat change enchantments with enchantments that grant the player unique abilities. * Overhaul Enchanting * Replaces the Enchanting Table UI with a new version that removes the RNG involved in enchanting; you may simply choose the enchantments you wish to have. * Enchanting Tables require Chiseled Bookshelves with Enchanted Books in them to access their enchantments. * Enchanting items has an additional material cost related to the item being enchanted (for example, Diamond equipment's material cost is Diamonds). * Bookshelves reduce the experience, lapis lazuli, and material cost of enchanting. * Enchantments can be transferred off of enchanted items and onto books using a grindstone. * Enchanted Books cannot be applied to tools in an anvil. * Villagers only sell unenchanted items. * Various types of Enchanted Books spawn much more commonly in specific structures. * Helmet Enchantments - Nether Fortresses * Chestplate Enchantments - Trial Chambers * Leggings Enchantments - Ancient Cities * Boots Enchantments - Desert Pyramids * Sword Enchantments - Dungeons * Spear Enchantments - Strongholds * Bow Enchantments - Jungle Pyramids * Crossbow Enchantments - Pillager Outposts * Trident Enchantments - Ocean Ruins * Mace Enchantments - Trial Chambers (Ominous Vault) * Mining Tool Enchantments - Ruined Portals * Pickaxe Enchantments - Mineshafts * Axe Enchantments - Bastions * Shovel Enchantments - Buried Treasure Chests * Hoe Enchantments - Village Houses * Fishing Rod Enchantments - Shipwrecks * Single Level Mode * Removes leveling from enchantments; the maximum level for all enchantments is 1. * Enchantments act as if they were their original maximum level. * Enchantments on gear made from materials easier to obtain (such as Stone and Iron) are weaker. * Enchantment Limit * Forces items to only allow one enchantment. * All enchantments are equally weighted and selectable during generation. * Disable Durability * Items no longer have durability. * Items in the `enchancement:breakable` tag will always have durability regardless of config setting. * Items in the `enchancement:unbreakable` tag will never have durability regardless of config setting. * Anvils will not break when used, and will respect the above tags. * Enhance Mobs * Mobs will spawn with random enchantments. * Mobs will use active enchantment abilities. * Rebalance Consumables * Arrows shot by players will drop on the ground after hitting an entity. * Ender Pearls deal no damage upon use. * (Enchanted) Golden Apples can only be consumed when hungry. * Rebalance Effects * Instant Health, Instant Damage, Strength, and Weakness are less potent. * Turtle master gives 1 less level of Resistance. * Wither Skulls apply Wither for less time. * Rebalance Enchantments * Fire caused by enchantments does not affect movement. * Fire caused by enchantments hits through Fire Resistance at a slower rate. * Fire caused by enchantments is slightly redder to indicate the above effects. * Renames Fire Aspect to Molten. * Molten applies for less time. * Blocks mined by items with Molten are smelted. * Items with Molten are usable as Flint and Steel while sneaking. * Mining tools can have Molten. * Maces cannot have Molten. * Lunge doesn't require hunger to use. * Channeling ignites entities with melee attacks. * Channeling can be activated without thunder. * Channeling chains lightning to nearby entities. * Lightning spawned from Channeling will not destroy items or cause fire. * Riptide is weaker. * Mace enchantments can be applied with less fall distance. * Wind Burst allows charging to launch you backward and push mobs away. * Luck of the Sea also reduces fishing time. * Rebalance Equipment * Enchanted armor has additional damage reduction. * Iron armor has slightly more armor, and gains armor toughness. * Golden armor has slightly less armor. * Elytra are temporarily disabled when attacked. * Animal armor can be enchanted with chestplate enchantments. * Saddles can be enchanted with boots enchantments. * Shields can only take a limited amount of damage before being disabled, and recharges when not in use. * Axes do not directly break Shields and instead do more damage to them. * Sword sweeping damage is increased to be proportional to the primary damage dealt. * Spears have damage falloff with higher velocities. * Bows, Tridents, and Maces play a ready sound when they are fully charged. * Bows, Tridents, and Maces slow you down less when charging and do not prevent sprinting. * Crossbows pull unique ammunition from your inventory instead of only from your off-hand. * Tridents thrown by players never despawn. * Tridents return to the slot they were thrown from. * Tridents with Loyalty linger in the world if the owner is dead instead of dropping on the ground. * Tridents with Loyalty that are thrown into the void will automatically return to their owner. * Tridents and Maces have a charge time of 1 second (excluding those with Riptide) and can be interrupted. * Maces have slightly faster attack speed. * Maces have damage falloff with higher fall distance. * Golden tools have the mining speed of Diamond tools, Diamond tools have the mining speed of Netherite tools, and Netherite tools have the mining speed of Golden tools. * Hoes have slower attack speed but more attack damage and attack reach. * Fishing Bobbers are thrown more accurately. * Fishing Bobbers pull the root vehicle of the hooked entity. * Enchanted Books stack to 16, and display the names of their enchantments in Bundles. * Rebalance Projectiles * Projectiles ignore invulnerability frames and deal less damage per hit that would have been blocked. * Projectiles negate velocity on hit. * Projectiles take target velocity into account to artificially increase their hitbox, making fast moving entities easier to hit. * Projectiles shot by players have higher velocity (damage is scaled properly to be normal). * Toggleable Passives * Enchanted chestplates increase air mobility. * Enchanted Tridents have Loyalty built in. * Enchanted mining tools have Efficiency built in. * Coyote Bite * Entities can be attacked for a few ticks after they leave your crosshair. * Weapon Effect Cooldown Requirement * Axes require your weapon cooldown to be near full to disable Shields. * Enchantments such as Molten or Frostbite require your weapon cooldown to be near full to activate. * Fix Vanilla Bugs * Fixes attribute swapping. * Fixes Riptide being slower with Water Movement Efficiency enchantments (such as Amphibious and Depth Strider). * Fixes Riptide rendering with a rotation while swimming. * Fixes Maces not resetting fall distance on the client. * Enchantment Descriptions * Enchantments display what they do under their name. * Enchanted Books display what items they can be applied to. * Colored Enchantment Names * Enchantments are colored green, similar to how Curses are colored red. * Chiseled Bookshelf Peeking * Chiseled Bookshelves display the item in the slot you're looking at.
