NEEDS MODS TO WORK CORRECTLY, PATCHED IS REQUIRED.
There’s instructions on how to do it manually included but not recommended unless you know what you’re doing. If doing the manual way it appears that you need to put this pack before terralith to work correctly. I am also not updating the manual method as it's too messy for me to work with or suggest so do so at your own risk.
Install Instructions
A version of Cavernous is embedded inside so just grab either the datapack or mod and the mod patched and you should be good to go.
Note: Datapacks packaged as mods are no different than a datapack so it doesn't matter whether Terralith or whatever is a datapack or mod nor if Cavernous-X-Patched is a datapack or mod.
If not using a mod/datapack that is adding custom biomes with an overworld.json(such as Terralith) you'll probably need the Fix to make the biomes work correctly. Noteable packs that will need this fix is if you're only using Geoliphic, Tectonic, or WWOO WITHOUT Terralith.
Description
Simply a port of Thxlotl's Cavernous to convert it to make use of EnderTurret's Patched to work with other mods.
Tested with Terralith(2.5.8), Tectonic/Terratonic(2.4.3), and WWOO(2.43).
Technically compatible with 1.20.1(for version 1.5, no higher)just some of the items might not work right but the generation side should be fine.
Credits
Massive credit to Thxlotl for the amazing work on they did on Cavernous and to EnderTurret for making this possible and helping me create the patches correctly. Also credit to SlideDrum for figuring out how to fix the overwriting of Terralith biomes. I was just the middle man to put everything together and post it.
The discord linked is Thxlotl’s and has a channel for #compatibility if you have questions.
Final Notes
I disabled geysers in my version as I wasn't a huge fan of them though feel free to enable them yourself as they're still in the pack just diabled by default. I also disabled the intro message because I find them to be annoying but the same stuff I think is still true about needing command blocks enabled for some stuff to work.
