Adventure Tents is designed for explorers and long journeys, adding portable, placeable survival tents that let you set up camp almost anywhere, sleep through the night, store your gear, and pack everything back up when you are ready to move on.
To sleep, simply click the pillow, which is the white carpet inside the tent. Adventure Tents uses Minecraft's normal sleeping system, so sleeping works naturally with multiplayer night skipping and weather.
The datapack includes Small, Medium, and Large tents in full color variants. Each size gives you more room and additional survival equipment as you upgrade.
Adventure Tents also includes sleeping bags in every color, giving you a lightweight way to sleep while exploring without having to carry and set up your full tent for shorter journeys.
The tents include useful vanilla workstations with expanded functionality. The Stonecutter has been upgraded with hundreds of additional recipes, allowing it to cut and process many building materials beyond normal stone. Wood can be quickly turned into slabs, stairs, doors, trapdoors, fences, gates, signs, chests, barrels, crafting tables, sticks, and more. It can also process materials such as wool into carpet, bamboo, mud bricks, sandstone, and other useful building materials.
Large tents include an expanded Blast Furnace refinery that can process ores into their matching storage blocks. Iron, copper, gold, redstone, lapis, diamond, emerald, quartz, and their supported ore variants can be refined directly into blocks. Blocks of Raw Iron, Raw Copper, and Raw Gold can also be refined directly into their finished metal blocks.
Craftable Recovery Tent Bags are available for each tent size. These allow you to safely reclaim and repack an existing tent if you ever lose the original Tent Bag.
Players can also upgrade their tents from:
Small → Medium → Large
To upgrade a Small Tent, craft the Medium Tent Upgrade Template and place it in a Smithing Table with your Small Tent Bag and one Iron Ingot. This creates the Medium Tent Upgrade. Use the upgrade to pack your Small Tent and you will receive a Medium Tent Bag in return.
To upgrade from Medium to Large, craft the Large Tent Upgrade Template and combine it in a Smithing Table with your Medium Tent Bag and one Diamond. Then use the Large Tent Upgrade to pack your Medium Tent and receive your new Large Tent Bag.
The upgrade templates also include instructions directly on the item tooltip to help remind you what materials are required.
Tents automatically save the contents of their barrels when packed and restore them when the tent is placed again. Stored items are also preserved while upgrading from one tent size to another, making Adventure Tents useful for long-distance travel while keeping your supplies safe and organized.
