A simple datapack that will age copper items by tossing them into a water cauldron, nothing more, nothing less.
Somehow, that text apparently doesn't cover all features and how they affect the user's experience in the eyes of the moderation of some publishing platforms out there, so let me be clear about this:
- If you take any of the vanilla copper items that can have different stages of oxidization and throw them into a cauldron, they will, if possible, age for one stage.
- If you want it aged another stage, pick it up and throw it in again.
- Repeat until you've reached the desired stage or reached full oxidization. In case of the latter, nothing will happen if you throw it in again.
- It takes however many items you decide to throw at it and ages them instantly¹.
- Unlike regular copper ageing, it doesn't care about nearby water, time, and space (to other cauldrons or copper items).
- Ethically unobjectionable: No AI agents were hurt or even bothered in the making of this mod/datapack, not least because it's just too trivial.
¹) A hopper beneath the cauldron slurps the items in before they can be aged, so that's even instanter[sic!] than the ageing process, which may be a bit of comfort to old folks like me, who feel like they're aging at light speed.
Note that this datapack currently only supports Minecraft 1.21.0/1.21.1 vanilla items.
