Obtaining large numbers of Shulker Boxes is a common issue in vanilla. In Bedrock Edition however, Shulkers can drop one more Shulker Shell per level of Looting! This means that, with Looting III, they can drop up to 4 shells! (In Java Edition, Looting only makes a Shulker more likely to drop 1 shell).
This data pack changes the Shulker loot table to function the same as in Bedrock Edition, BUT with a limit of 2 Shulker Shells per Shulker (they only have two shells anyway), instead with an increasing chance to get 2. This makes it a more balanced alternative to a guaranteed 2 Shulker Shell drop, as it requires the player to put in the effort for Looting to maximize the number of Shulker Shells while still not promising 2, keeping it from feeling overpowered and non-vanilla. It is effectively a cross between the Java and Bedrock loot tables for Shulkers.
Almost Double Shulker Shells is (understandably) incompatible with Bedrock Shulker Shells, which does not have the 2 shell limit.
