Amethyst Nether is a datapack that transforms the Nether by adding new biomes, structures, mobs, items, recipes, advancements, and more. ## 📝 Description Released in December 2022. It was created by amethyst137 and continued by bbschef in July 2024. This datapack is recommended for new worlds and **cannot be removed once applied without a reset**. It adds new biomes and changes existing ones, with unique effects and features. World generation uses noise and other functions to modify terrain, including lakes, mountains, caves, and canyons. The Nether height was increased to 160; the Nether roof is no longer accessible. ## ✨ Features

#### Basalt Deltas Basalt biome. Features basalt columns and canyons; magma cubes and ghasts spawn. Locate with `/locate biome minecraft:basalt_deltas` #### Nether Wastes Netherrack biome. Provides +8 armor, +5 armor toughness, +25% knockback resistance, and -40% burning time. Durability: 681. - Royal Leggings: Requires 6 netherite ingots and 1 gold ingot. #### Crimson Soup Craftable food. Requires 1 red mushroom, 1 crimson fungus, 1 nether wart, and 1 bowl. Restores +6 food and +1.2 saturation; 30% chance to grant fire resistance for 30 seconds. Stackable. #### Warped Stew Craftable food. Requires 1 brown mushroom, 1 warped fungus, 1 porkchop, and 1 bowl. Restores +8 food and +1.6 saturation; 30% chance to inflict nausea for 30 seconds. Stackable. #### Enchanted Golden Carrot Craftable food. Requires 8 gold blocks and 1 carrot. Grants invisibility (2:30), jump boost II (0:30), night vision (2:30), and speed I (1:30).

#### Crimson Funglet Craftable item. Requires 3 bone meal and 1 crimson fungus. Place on nylium to grow. #### Heap Funglet Craftable item. Requires 3 bone meal and 1 nether wart. Place on soul soil to grow. #### Huge Crimson Funglet Craftable item. Requires 4 bone meal and 4 crimson fungus. Place on nylium to grow. Mechanics

#### Ghosted Mob found in Soul Sand Valley. Burns while inside the biome; fire extinguishes outside it. Drops fire charges on death. Useful for automated farms. Summonable with `/loot give @s loot an:uncraftable/eggs/ghosted_spawn_egg` #### Skeletal Piglin Mob found in Black Peaks. When killed, it drops a random Nether ore. Useful for automated farms. Summonable with `/loot give @s loot an:uncraftable/eggs/skeletal_piglin_spawn_egg` #### Piglin Debuff Piglins and piglin brutes receive the weakness effect if they are inside the Wart Heap biome. Zombified piglins will attack them if they are nearby. #### Ender Pearl Shatter Ender pearls shatter into purple particles when they touch bedrock roof.

## Reset 🧹 - Leave the Nether and exit the world. - Make a backup of your world. - Install [NBTExplorer](https://github.com/jaquadro/NBTExplorer). - Open the backup with NBTExplorer. - Open `/datapacks` and delete the pack. - Delete `/DIM-1`. - Open `/level.dat`. - In Data → DataPacks → Enabled, delete Amethyst Nether. - In Data → WorldGenSettings → dimensions, delete minecraft:the_nether. - Save the changes. Now, the Nether is **completely reset**, and you can add newer versions of Amethyst Nether or any other datapack. ## Notes 📌 - Not compatible with datapacks that change Nether world generation, such as Incendium, Amplified Nether, BetterNether, or Biomes O' Plenty. - Compatible with datapacks that add Nether structures, such as Dungeon and Taverns or Uncovered. - Still in development; new content will be added in future versions.
