Muskegs and Boglands
Muskegs and Boglands are two new Swamp biomes added to low humidity regions. They have lots of grass, mud, and open space for frogs to hop around in.
Volcanoes
Volcanoes generate inside some rings of mountains. Tectonic activity has pushed tons of Deepslate up to the surface. Tuff, Magma, and Lava can also be found.
Volcanic Conduits
These caves found underneath Volcanoes are overflowing with Lava. Magma Cubes spawn everywhere, and Diamonds can be found commonly. Emerald Ore generates as well.
Diorite Caves
Diorite Caves have diorite as their base stone instead of regular Stone. Plenty of diorite can be harvested in bulk here.
Granite Caves
Granite Caves have granite as their base stone instead of regular Stone. Plenty of granite can be harvested in bulk here.
Infested Caves
Caves that generate beneath mountains and windswept biomes. Spiders and Silverfish-infested stone are common. Emerald Ore can be found in these caves.
Webby Caves
Caves that generate beneath mountains and windswept biomes. Spiders and Cave Spiders are common, the stone is infested with Silverfish, and cobwebs hang from the ceilings. Emerald Ore can be found in these caves.
Boreal Plains
Boreal Plains replace Plains in cold regions. They have sparse Taiga trees and some Cobblestone boulders.
Savannas
Savannas have been given a unique golden grass color. A new Verdant Savanna has also been added, with green grass, Acacia and Oak trees, bushes, and potential rainfall.
Arboretum
These rare, mysterious Arboretums boast a wide variety of trees from around the world. They can be found extremely far inland in temperate or cold regions.
Snowy Forests
This classic throwback biome is a snow-laden variant of Forests that sometimes generates in cold regions.
Deserts
Deserts have been split into five biomes, pictured here. From left to right: Sandy Deserts, Oases, Cactus Deserts, Desert River Banks (top), and Shrublands (bottom).
Shrublands
These desert biomes generate in humid areas. They have lots of Dead Bushes and Cacti, and patches of grass which can grow Acacia trees and bushes.
Oases
These rare micro biomes can generate within the large, barren Sandy Deserts. They grow all sorts of plants and are the only biome where Camels can spawn naturally.
Painted Badlands
These rare colorful Badlands generate in some low-erosion areas on slopes and peaks.
Badlands Caves
Caves that generate beneath Badlands biomes. Creepers and Skeletons are common, but the gold ore rates are increased.
Wooded Badlands
The border between Badlands and Wooded Badlands has been made more intuitive, and they've had their grass and leaf colors tweaked to be more green and less brown. They also have a deeper layer of Coarse Dirt and a mix of Spruce and Oak trees.
Sunflower Plains
The amount of Sunflowers in Sunflower Plains has been dramatically increased.
Flower Forests
The Birch trees in Flower Forests have been replaced with single-branched Cherry trees.
Freshwater Swamps
Freshwater Swamps have green foliage and clear water. They generate in continental temperate or cold regions.
Swamps
Swamps have had their oak trees redesigned, as well as new Mud patches and Giant Mushrooms.
Dark Forests
Dark Forests have had their colors overhauled. They are now more dreary and autumnal. Pumpkin patches are more common here, as well.
Snowy Dark Forests
This snowy variant of Dark Forests replaces the non-snowy Taigas that previously generated in snowy regions. They have a mix of Dark Oak and Taiga trees, a surface of Snow Blocks, and Woodland Mansions can sometimes be found.
Diorite Stony Shores and Snowy Stony Shores
Snowy Stony Shores generate Ice on their steep cliff faces. Diorite Stony Shores generate in some cold regions, with their surfaces being mostly composed of Diorite.
Granite Stony Shores
Granite stony shores generate in some lukewarm regions. Their surfaces are mostly composed of Granite with specks of Stone.
Strands
Strands generate sand near sea-level and can be found in some flat areas near rivers or oceans. There are Strand variants for Forests, Snowy Forests, Birch Forests, Plains, Boreal Plains, Snowy Plains, Savannas, and Jungles.
Small Isles
Parts of oceans that peak above sea level now have different features depending on the climate. As seen here, Lukewarm Ocean islands can have Jungle trees.
Cliff Beaches
Beaches and stony shores can generate at the foot of tall cliffs. Strand biome variants can sometimes be found here too.
Islands
Far out in the middle of the ocean, islands may generate surrounded by deep oceans.
Abyssal Plain
Abyssal plains generate even deeper than Deep Oceans. Kelp Forests and Seagrass Meadows are two biomes which can generate on these plains.
Sunken Forests
Sunken Forests generate in high erosion regions of abyssal oceans. They have sunken trees, Moss, and an increased spawn rate for Drowned.
Ocean Trenches
Ocean Trenches can be found beneath the deepest of Deep Ocean biomes. Magma columns pull down players, and the floor is so deep that Diamonds can be found.
