Bedrock bridging is a data pack that adds a bedrock-like bridging functionality to Minecraft!
In case you didn't know, Bedrock edition allows you to place blocks in the air when you are bridging, which Java edition doesn't have.
How to use:
When you have the data pack installed, stand on a block and look at where you want to place the block. You will see a little outline where you can place the block, and just right-click that and it will get placed there.
Shown is this example gif:
Commands:
/function bedrock_bridging:on — enables the bridging function if you turn it off
/function bedrock_bridging:off — disables the bridging function
/trigger bedrock_bridging — enable/disable bedrock bridging without cheats/commands, also only enables bedrock bridging for the person who ran the command in case you don't want everyone to have it.
If you are using 1.21.4 or higher, please note you will need to use the /datapack enable command for it to work!
Features:\
- Easy-to-use toggle function
- Easy outline to place the blocks on
- Works with everyone on the server or specific players
FAQ:
Can I speed-bridge with this?
Yes, it is just a little more difficult, and advanced speedbridging may not work.
Does this affect my preferred Java speedbridging methods?
Not at all! Every single Java speedbridging method will work just fine!
Does this tank my FPS?
Not in the slightest!
Can I use this in my Minecraft server?
Of course! I don't mind! =D
