Advancements
I recommend looking at the advancements from time to time As you progress, more advancements will be revealed and you will be able to know what options you have and where you can progress
The beginning
Rocks
The rocks are probably the first thing you want to find. They are spread on the surface in all biomes. On the rocks you can find small pebbles To pick them up R-click on them or mine them
Smashing pebbels / Flint
After you collect the pebbles you can hit any kind of stone with them and smash them with a 50% chance of getting flint Flints can be used to get more sticks when breaking leaves or to create basic tools
Knife
A knife is used to cut ferns and grass into plant fiber (strings) The chance is relatively low so dont worry if it takes a while to find some A knife can be made from all materials, but flint will be the most available
healing
As you probably noticed natural regeneration is disabled To renew life you need to make a bandage from 4 plant fiber and use it
Crops
You can plant and farm a variety of plants If you break grass and ferns there is a small chance that you will get seeds of different plants Some of the plants can be used for food and some for other things
Food
There are many ways to get food You can grow plants or animals Just don't forget to save some food for the winter
Tools
There are several types of tools in the game and each type has different materials from which it can be made The more advanced and stronger the material, the more it gives you access to breaking stronger blocks and also lasts longer
Pillager Camps
The pilgers have set up camp in the world around you There's a chance you'll find some useful materials to start with, but be careful! They often contain enemies
Sculpture tool
To create more advanced tools you need a crafting table The sculpting tool lets you carve a log into crafting table Note! You cannot move the table in the early stages of the game
Storage Pots
Storage pots can be crafted from 7 bricks. Bricks can be made from a ball of clay wich drops from dirt R-click on the pot to extract the items
New Game Mechanics
Animals Behavior
Most animals are no longer passive but neutral This means that if you attack them they will attack you back! In addition more animals can drop different types of meat/leather/fur
Campfire
A campfire is one of the most important things, at least in the beginning It provides light and heat at night, cook food and make torches to craft campfire you need 4 wood slabs and 3 sticks, and to ignite the campfire you gonna need fire plough and some coal or other fuel to keep it lit
Movement
There are some small changes to the movement
- Your jump height is exactly 1 block
- Wall running is possible for a short distance
- If you are close to the edge of a block above which there is air, if you press shift+jump you can climb it (see picture)
- If you fall from a high place Pressing right and left together will brake the fall at the cost of a large amount of stamina
stamina
Every time you perform a tiring action like jumping or running your stamina bar will decrease a bit. If the bar reaches zero you will suffer slowness and hunger until the bar fills back up To replenish the bar simply stand still and wait a few moments
Temperature
The temperature bar is pretty simple if you are in a place that is too cold or too hot you will start taking damage So you should keep an eye on it
Sanity
The sanity bar is affected by actions the player takes Like eating raw food or staying in the dark and cold for a long time The opposite actions will help keep the meter high This meter determines events that can happen around you like Stronger monsters will appear and you will lose hunger Things will start disappearing around you so don't lose your sanity
Seasons
As you can imagine there are 4 seasons Each season affects the game in a different way from temperature and weather and up to the spawning of animals
crafting stations
Cooking pot
Used for making hot and more nutritious food Requires a lit campfire under it
Crucible
Used to melt materials together Mainly for steel production Requires a lit campfire under it
Fletching
Used to make arrows
Anvil
Used to forge tools from advanced metals such as steel To use it you have to place a steel ingot in it and hit it with a hammer
