    • Follow a storyline that discovers the long forgotten mystery of "The Veil" a mysterious cult that seemingly dissappeared out of thin air. Taking you throughout the Undergrowth, you'll discover more and more about the history behind this biome.

    • [ ] Ominous new biome found rarely underground
    • [ ] Giant growths of "Dreadroot" all throughout, reaching from the floor to the ceiling with blood red leaves
    • [ ] Ruins can be found throughout it

  • Changed creeper poison cloud radius and effect duration to be slightly less powerful
  • Changed the "Breaking Ground" advancement to be based off of being in a cave biome rather than being under a specific height

Cavernous 1.0

Cavernous 1.0 is now out! Along with support for older versions of Minecraft, 1.0 includes some minor new features and bug fixes from previous versions, wrapping up the initial release of Cavernous.

Changes

  • Cave spiders will now spawn in tropical caves
  • Overgrown temples loot now contain poison tipped arrows
  • Reduced frequency of underground beehive spawns
  • Tweaked biome placement - Less frequent caldera caves, more glowshroom caves, and other minor changes
  • Changed the roots in the ground in marshy caves to have mangrove wood on the interior surrounded by the former muddy mangrove roots
  • Added a function to uninstall/disable geysers
  • Changed loot tables for structures
  • Made dungeons more common
  • Reduced density of vines in tropical caves

  • Torch Arrows - Crafted with one arrow and one torch, places a torch wherever it lands
  • Chain Arrows - Crafted with 8 chains and one arrow, drops a length of climbable chains wherever it lands downwards
  • Explosive arrows - Crafted with 1 TNT and 1 arrow, explode upon impact with the ground
  • Dynamite - Crafted by putting 1 TNT in a crafting GUI, allows the TNT to be lit upon being dropped from the players inventory
  • Added Icicles back to the icy caves in a slightly different way to avoid issues with colliding with other biomes.
  • Added a leviathan skeleton fossil that spawns occasionally at low y levels

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed issue with bottle barrel loot table in thermal plant
  • Fixed issues with vanilla biomes not using the cavernous features, leading to things like the vanilla dungeons spawning occasionally, etc.

Cave villages are now back in the game with a fully new look as well as a new lush variant of villages that will spawn in fungal, tropical, lush, and marshy caves! It also comes with amethyst and gold "trees" that generate underground in any biome occasionally.

NEW ADDITIONS:

Cave Village

  • Essentially the same as in older versions of cavernous, just with a whole new look and more variation in the buildings

Lush Village

  • A new variant of the cave village that will spawn in "lush" caves (any caves w/ plants in them loosely)

Gem trees

  • Can come in either amethyst or gold versions
  • Spawn rarely anywhere under y=0

New advancements
