Chest_minecarts now load a 3x3 chunk area around them only when moving. They unload them after moving past. If they stop or are already standing still they unload any forceloaded chunks in 5x5 chunks around them.
Don't destroy chest minecarts before they are standing completely still! Otherwise the chunks won't be unloaded.
Chest_minecarts traveling through a portal will leave behind 3x3 loaded chunks. So be beware of that.
Every startup of the game or server and every reload will remove ALL forceloaded chunks. Note that beside the startup, it also will mess with forceloaded chunks if the minecart travels through them.
It might brake if you have multiple chest minecarts in vicinity. Even autogenerated ones from mineshafts.
For server owners, know that this will make it easy to build chunk loaders and can be easily exploited for lag.
You may use it for your own and for servers. You can also put it in a pack if you want, just credit me in the pack description.
Q&A: Q: Will you update this for newer versions? A: As long as I use it myself yes. And if you ask nicely, maybe. Q: Will you optimise it for performance? A: Currently not, since it has not impacted my performance. Q: Will you fix the left over chunk loading from portals and removing while moving? A: Maybe some time in the future. This is my first datapack and I don't have the knowledge for this (yet).
