This version is compatible with Cobbledollars!
📢 BCA 3.9.2 is LIVE!
Hello @everyone!
It’s time to officially launch Brocraft Cobblemon Additions v3.9.2! 🎉
You might be wondering — why the jump from 3.8.1 straight to 3.9.2?
That’s because all intermediate builds were seen and tested by our Patrons — what you’re getting today is the most stable, cleaned-up version yet, skipping the buggy in-between builds!
🧩 What's New in 3.9.2?
✅ MOD FORMAT
We’ve officially transitioned from a datapack to a full mod!
No more installation headaches — just drop it into your mods/
folder and you’re good to go. Updates will be easier from here on out, especially for launcher users.
🎁 Custom Loot Pools Introduced!
The first four themed loot pools have been added:
- 🥘
kitchen
- 🛋️
sitting_room
- 🛏️
bedroom
- 🪜
attic
Expect many more to come in future updates, including:
- 🔧 Workshop loot pool
- 🌿 Gardener’s loot pool (potential integration with Farmer’s Delight?)
- ⛏️ Toolsmith & Miner loot pools
- 🧊 Refrigerator loot (ice, meats, etc.)
- 🐣 Easter egg loot (what will it have? where will it be? 👀)
🧪 We Need Your Feedback!
Balancing these loot pools is a HUGE priority — and your input matters.
Please read through the list of notes below and join the thread attached to this post to share your own thoughts!
These are my dev notes from testing the loot — what do you agree/disagree with?
- Lucky Egg is too common in kitchen chests
- Kitchen loot needs more *usable* food, and less filler
- Random item counts (up to 8) should be added for realism
- Loaded Dice & Metal Coat appear too often in sitting room
- Remove raw meats, use cooked versions
- Add Glowstone Dust & redstone components to attic
- Charcoal too common in kitchen; more coal instead
- Apples (esp. Applin Apples) appear too often
- Bottle o' Enchanting should be common across all loot types
- Add upgrade items for Sophisticated Backpacks
- Warp Scrolls too common — add more Return Scrolls and Warp Dust instead
- Consider integrating Farmer’s Delight for better kitchen loot?
- Regular backpacks show up too often — tone down their frequency
- Held items (type-specific) show up way too much
- Sophisticated backpacks should have their own loot tables
- XP Candies might need rarity tuning (especially M/L/XL)
- Add more redstone parts to attic (repeaters, pistons, etc.)
- Dusk & Quick Balls can be slightly more common
- Lanterns should be more prevalent
✅ Let’s shape these loot tables together. I'm watching the thread — I really want to polish this system and your insights will directly influence the next patch.
🎒 Optional Mod Integration!
We now include optional loot for:
- Sophisticated Backpacks
- Traveler’s Backpack
- Waystones
These mods are fully optional — if they aren’t installed, nothing breaks. But if they are, you’ll find items from those mods appearing in loot chests! 🔄
🔮 Sneak Peek Countdown
Remember that post in #sneak-peeks?
🔥 We’re sitting at 51 fire reactions — once we hit 75, I’ll post the first dungeon sneak peek 👀
Go drop a 🔥 if you haven't yet and help us unlock the next content reveal!
