Create GeoVein Deposits A lightweight data pack that adds massive GeoVein ore deposits and custom textures for Create and TFMG (The Factory Must Grow) on Minecraft 1.21.1 NeoForge.
⚠️ The "Chaotic Afternoon" Behind the Scenes This pack was created in a single afternoon by a very stubborn player who refused to give up. It was a journey full of blood, sweat, and purple-black blocks:
I originally put the data pack into the resource packs folder and wondered why the game ignored it.
I experienced the classic Image is not allocated crash by pressing F3+T right after generating new textures.
I spent hours fighting path names, missing textures, and purple-black blocks, panicking over files until my chest hurt.
I struggled to figure out how to use /geovein test_deposit instead of the vanilla /locate.
Massive AI Assistance: It is safe to say this pack is heavily AI-assisted. I used AI to write Python scripts to batch-generate 64 texture variants, automatically re-write 96 JSON model files, adjust ore density parameters, and help debug the crash logs.
What it does It replaces default small ore clusters with large, realistic geological deposits for 12 ore types using GeoVein. Each deposit is a massive ellipsoid structure that spans multiple chunks.
Included ores Coal - High mountains (Y 200–500) - Very common Iron, Copper, Zinc, Nickel, Lithium - Mid layer (Y 30–200) Redstone, Lead, Lapis - Between iron and diamond (Y 30–100) Diamond, Emerald, Gold - Deep layer (Y −40–20) - Rare
Custom textures Every ore includes hand-drawn textures with 4 quality variants (Poor / Common / Rich / Native) and smelted Ore Billets. Bundled as a required resource pack.
Requirements & Installation Requires: Minecraft 1.21.1 + NeoForge, GeoVein, Create, TFMG (CurseForge).
Installation: Put the datapack .zip in your datapacks folder, enable it, and enable the provided resource pack in game.
(P.S. I don't plan to actively maintain this, it's a one-time release. If something breaks, feel free to fix the JSON files yourself. Have fun!)
