Details
Adds a death sound when a player dies within your render distance. No installation on the server needed.
Features:
Adds a death sound, which makes deaths more dramatic and immersive! You can fully customize the sound, add particle effects, customize volume, pitch, delay, use your own sounds, or get a notification when a one of you friends die!
There is also a global counter that counts all recorded deaths, played death sounds and recorded totem pops of the entire world. These numbers are visible on this site.

How to use custom sounds
- Install the mod
- Enable the Resource Pack 'DeathSound-Resources'
- Klick the button 'Open Sound Folder' in the DeathSound Custom Sound Menu
- Convert your sound file to the format '.ogg'. Minecraft only allows sounds in this format. Place your .ogg file(s) in this folder
- IMPORTANT: Dont include spaces or uppercase letters in the names of the files!
- Select your file in the Custom Sound Menu
- Your custom deathsound should now be active!

The mod (only minecraft version 1.21 and above) is available in different languages including:
- Englisch
- German (Deutschland)
- Deitsch (Österreich)
- Filipino (Pilipinas)
- Polski (Polska)
Note that some of these translations may not be 100% accurate!
If you find any issues with them, or want a new language to be added, download the default translation file here, edit it, and either request the language to be implemented in the mod or turn it into a resource pack and upload it on Modrinth.
