"When You Die, You Lose Hearts..." is a Minecraft Java 26.3 datapack that makes survival more challenging.

• Health selection: Set a maximum health limit between 10 and 20 HP, in increments of 2 HP.
• Heart Elixir: Crafted from gold ingots, amethyst shards, blaze powder, a ghast tear, a honey bottle, and nether wart.
• Success rate: 50%. On success, the elixir increases maximum health by 1 heart; on failure, it is consumed with no effect.
• Limit: You cannot exceed the selected maximum health level.
• Menu: Accessed via /function hardcore_hearts_survival:menu. Using the command may require cheats or operator permissions.

The datapack's main goal is to make health a valuable resource and introduce risk when attempting to become stronger.
